Eintrittspreise: Erwachsene 1600 Yen pro Person, Mittel- und Grundschüler 550 Yen pro Person. Der Toshogu-Schrein ist ein Shinto-Schrein, der Tokugawa Ieyasu, dem ersten Shogun des Edo-Shogunats, gewidmet ist und auch eine der bedeutendsten historischen und kulturellen Stätten Japans ist. Es gehört zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe "Schreine und Tempel von Nikko". Der Toshogu-Schrein wurde 1617 von Tokugawa Hidetada, dem zweiten Shogun und Sohn von Tokugawa Ieyasu, errichtet und 1636 durch den dritten Shogun, Tokugawa Iemitsu, zu seiner heutigen Größe erweitert. Der Schrein ist im "gongen-zukuri"-Architekturstil erbaut, der Elemente des Shinto und des Buddhismus verbindet und Tokugawa Ieyasus göttlichen Status als "Toshogu Daigongen" symbolisiert. Die Iroha Mountain Road ist eine der "Top 100 Straßen Japans". Von Nikko City sind es 15,8 Kilometer zum Chuzenji-See und Oku-Nikko. Auf der Auf-/Abfahrtsstrecke gibt es insgesamt 48 Kurven. Es ist eine Bergstraße in der Region Nikko. Berühmt für seine malerischen Fahrstrecken. Im Herbst sind Bergwege die schönsten und beliebtesten. Durch die unterschiedlichen Höhen der Berge können Sie die gesamten roten Blätter in verschiedenen Farben genießen, wodurch Sie sich entspannt und atemberaubend fühlen. Von der Seilbahn Akechipingira aus können Sie auch die Kegonfälle und den Chuzenji-See betrachten.
Der Chuzenji-See ist der höchste natürliche See Japans. Im Chuzenji-See gibt es Azaleen im Frühling, grüne Bäume im Sommer, rote Blätter im Herbst und verschneite Landschaften im Winter. Es gibt eine schöne Landschaft für Touristen zu allen vier Jahreszeiten zu genießen. Besonders berühmt ist er für seine Azaleen im Frühling und roten Blätter im Herbst. Während dieser Zeit kommt ein stetiger Strom von Menschen mit ihren Kameras zu Besuch, um ihre Lieblingsbilder einzufangen.
Kegon Falls ist einer der drei berühmten Wasserfälle in Japan und ein beliebtes Touristenziel. Das Wasser aus dem Chuzenji Lake bildet an seinem östlichen Ende den Ojiri River, überquert den Mount Nantai und fließt aus einer Höhe von 700 Metern hinunter, um den Hauptteil des Wasserfalls zu bilden, der 99 Meter hoch ist. Der obere Felsen ragt nach vorne und 12 kleine Wasserfälle fließen aus Felsspalten. Im Herbst sind die umliegenden roten Blätter mit schönen Landschaften bedeckt. Es ist das touristische Zentrum des Nikko-Nationalparks. Es ist perfekt zum Fotografieren und hat eine künstlerische Vorstellung von Bergen und fließendem Wasser.

Excursion very complete..First seeing the temples of Nikko, then we went to a lake where we took an optional boat ride and finally we went to see some waterfalls. Both the guide Jeffrey ate the chauffeur were very friendly and after the excursion we were given a souvenir of Mount Fuji

The place is truly special - historic, beautiful, and interesting. Visiting it was among the highlights of our trip to Tokyo. Without it, learning the history of the place would be much poorer. There are two items that I would suggest for improvement: 1. Tourist guide - his English and the volume of knowledge need to be enhanced as well as the presentation skills. 2. The mini-bus used by the tour provider is to be upgraded to a full-size tourist class comfortable bus - the trip of 2.5 hours duration each way was rather tiring in a small vehicle. Finally, the entrance fee to the Shrine is to be included in the overall cost so as to avoid any unnecessary questions and confusion.

The sights visited were interesting but bad organised. First It was difficult to find our guide amongst an anarchic crowd of tourists. No distinctive sign to know who was our guide. Then we began the visit by the temple in the morning when it was full of tourists and in the afternoon we went to the observatory, the lake and the waterfall when the sun has turned in front of us. Very bad for the photos. Waterfalls were in the dark and these last sights were exposed with the sun in front of us. I recommend this tour but with another better organised agency.

The sights you will see are amaizing. The tour guides are very young and very inexperienced. A lot of helpful information in respect to which ticket is needed, can you make the shrine and museum visit in two hours or where is best place to have lunch for example were missing.
