Besucher betreten einen Veranstaltungsort im traditionellen Stil in Shinjuku, wo zwei echte Sumo-Ringer Japans alten Sport durch kraftvolle Matches und unterhaltsame Vorführungen zum Leben erwecken. Du lernst die Bedeutung hinter den heiligen Ritualen von sumo kennen – wie Salzwerfen, Ringstampfen und Zeremonien vor dem Match – während ein zweisprachiger Gastgeber alles auf einfache und unterhaltsame Weise erklärt. It was interesting to learn the origins of sumo
Fantastic night great mixture of history and rules of Sumo, they then demonstrated the major moves and tactics and went through the basics all with a sense of hummer. There are a couple of question-and-answer session that the wrestlers are very open on the answers on how they got into Sumo and the lifestyle. You won’t believe the actual size of these gents until the end when there is a photo opportunity. There are drinks and snacks available, but this is not a usual sales pitch, and you start to realise that these shows are simply to promote the sport and aid the coffers of the club.
My family enjoyed the show and we continued watching sumo on Japanese TV in the hotel afterwards. Entire show in English and you learn about the history, training, and rules of sumo. Free bottle of water. Snacks and drinks for sale. Up to 6 audience members can volunteer to challenge the sumo wrestler, they have a lottery if lots of people volunteer. The wrestlers are retired sumo but they did actual match during the show and were also funny and entertaining. 90 minutes with opportunity to take photos with the sumo wrestlers at the end of the show
The experience was amazing! The sumo wrestlers were amazing! John and the rest of the staff were so fun and funny! And at the end you can challenge a sumo wrestler and it was so fun and hilarious! I highly recommend going to the show!
It was excellent! John was a fabulous, engaging and informative MC and Guchi and Ide were phenomenal Sumo Wrestlers. This was a favorite activity- kept all ages entertained and we learned so much too!

Great time will come again for aure
This was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The club hosts provided a lovely history of sumo and explained the basics of the sport. The demo provided by Guchi and George was excellent. They were so engaging and watching them wrestle volunteers was so much fun, especially one of the youngest audience members. It was adorable! I highly recommend this activity!
