We had an amazing experience with John on the Tokyo JDM Car Meet Experience. From start to finish, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the night feel easy and fun. You can tell he genuinely loves the car scene and enjoys sharing that side of Tokyo with others. One of the coolest parts of the night was that we were paired with another father and son who were also celebrating high school graduation, which made the experience feel even more special. It was a great mix of cars, Tokyo night views, and good conversation. Daikoku PA was such a unique experience, and John did a great job explaining the culture, helping us take photos, and making sure everyone was comfortable throughout the tour. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan, especially for anyone who loves cars or wants to see a different side of Tokyo. Highly recommend booking with John. He made the night memorable, personal, and absolutely worth it.
Hi Justin, Thank you so much for the wonderful review! It was a pleasure spending the evening with you all. I'm glad the shared graduation celebration made the night even more special and that you enjoyed the cars, the views, and the overall experience. Thank you for your kind words and recommendation—I really appreciate it. Hope to see you again on your next trip to Japan! 😊🚗🇯🇵
Awesome experience. Highly recommend for any car enthusiasts. Excellent hosts as well.

I’ve been a car nut forever and recently learned about Daikoku Parking Area from some JDM videos I got deep into. When I had to come to Tokyo for business I could not think of anything I wanted to do aside from go there and check out the cars. The problem is as a tourist coming from far away it is tricky to figure out how to get there and trickier to figure out how to get back as it is about 30 minutes south of Tokyo by car. You might be able to Uber there but you definitely cannot Uber out due to its geography (it is on an island with highways surrounding it.). That is where TripAdvisor came in which I had never paid much attention to as I like explore on my own. Read some reviews, compared prices and what o wanted to do and found John. John offers a couple of options (get there in a van with others, a JDM sports car etc.). I chose the lowest priced option to keep it simple and the the day before started to communicate with John who was wonderful. He upgraded my option to go in a sports car and gave very precise pick up / return etc coordinates. I was still a bit trepidatious as it was a foreign country and I had already paid but on the day of he told me exactly where to be, who my driver would be (Isaac) and all the details. I showed up to the pick up spot and there was Isaac with a gorgeous tuned Subaru STI. Another couple from the US joined us (it is a four-seater) and there were some other cars Skylines etc picking up others there. Jumped in and Isaac started to explain what we were going to experience in perfect English (he partially grew up in the Philippines…). We were on our way and when we started to get onto the highways the turbos started to kick in and the engine roared. It was a great drive and Isaac explained everything we wanted to know about the truck stop and the cars we might see. Caveat - it was a rainy Sunday evening so I had very low expectations. When we got to Daikoku it was simply amazing. The culture turned out and the lot was full of pretty much every kind of JDM model you could imagine. As we pulled in there were lines of people taking pictures of our coming in as they knew it was special (a few revs and backfires did help…) when you are there cars come and go so the mix always changes and we saw pretty much everything - no European exotics mostly due to the rain but tons of domestics. Everyone in the lot is super cool as they are all there for the same reason, show off what they have, see what others have, and learn about the builds. Everyone either spoke or did their best to speak English and it really was awe-inspiring (even for a rainy Sunday night.). We spent about an hour there which is totally enough then went to Autobacs store which also had a meet up. The store has evening you need to tune a JDM car and had not seen anything like it in the US. After another 45 minutes or so we left and headed to Tokyo Tower which also had a meet up spot sssshhh… This a long explanation but I cannot stress enough how much fun this was, how professional these guys are (as an amateur business) and how knowledgeable Isaac was. He’s also a fantastic driver and even as we went at a good pace we all knew he and his car had to hold back due to regulations and to not scare any of us. Going to share some photos here, but not of his car so as to not draw attention to him in the future! Totally amazing and highly recommend!
Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to write such an amazing and detailed review! I'm really glad we could help make your Daikoku experience happen and that everything went smoothly from start to finish. Even on a rainy Sunday, the car community always finds a way to make it special! Thanks again for joining us and for your kind words. We hope to see you back in Japan for another JDM adventure someday! 😊🚗🇯🇵
It was a really exciting car experience for me and my 15yo son. John was really lovely, easy going and punctual, he communicated with us prior to the meat up with the meat up details and location. Despite the rain, we got to see some really cool cars in Daikoku, went to the Autobarn store, drove through the rainbow bridge, saw the Tokyo tower and took some really great pics. Definitely great value for money. Thank you John for making our experience so memorable! Definitely recommend 👌 👍
Hi Paulina, Thank you so much! It was a pleasure meeting you and your son. I'm really glad you both had a great time despite the rain and that we could make some awesome memories together. Thanks again for the recommendation, and I hope to see you both again on your next trip to Japan! 😊🚗📸
John picked us up in his modified Subaru, took us to a JDM car meet up spot to see some fantastic cars, visited huge car parts and merchandise store for souvenirs. He kindly drove us back to our hotel via the rainbow bridge and a quick stop at the Tokyo tower. Overall an outstanding trip with a great host.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm really glad you enjoyed the night, from the car meet and shopping stop to the drive through Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower. It was a pleasure having you, and I hope to see you again on your next visit to Japan!
Great Experience with Isaac as our guide, managed to see plenty of amazing cars and his own car was very fun to be in! Would highly recommend doing this if you're into Jdm cars!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you had a great time with Isaac and enjoyed the experience. I'll be sure to pass along your kind words to him. Thanks for the recommendation, and we hope to see you again in Japan!
We loved the Tokyo tour, John our driver was very kind and nice, he has very good friends (motorcycle gang, rode along part of the tour with us). We had a lot of fun. John does a great job driving his car and as a bonus he took very good pictures of us with his camera capturing the best spots in the city (pictures to be sent later).
Thank you so much! It was a pleasure having you on the tour. I'm glad you had fun and enjoyed the company, the drive, and the photo stops. I'll get those photos to you soon! Hope to see you again when you're back in Japan.
My son (13) and I had a great time with our driver John. He was really chill and informative with the car scene here in Tokyo. If you are into cars, this is a great trip to book. I booked this because my son wanted to see a GTR35 on our Japan trip. We saw at least 10! Thank you John for a great night!
Thanks so much! It was awesome having you both along. Glad your son got his GTR fix! 😄 Hope to see you again in Japan
