Tokio Geistertour durch heimtückische japanische Legenden

Beschreibung

Me and a buddy did the Tokyo ghost tour with Denise! She had a lot of information to share and made the experience very enjoyable! She showed us some really cool historical spots we would have never seen otherwise!
We’ve been on many ghost tours, and this one was honestly disappointing. The tour guide, Denice, was very nice but unlike most ghost tours, this involved A LOT of public transit that we had to pay out of pocket, on top of the tour itself. Wasn’t expecting to use up more of our dough beyond the tour pay. We’d walk to a spot, do a story, and then have to hop on a train for 20 minutes to go to the next spot, and when we got there we weren’t even able to go the location itself because they didn’t have permission to go there. It was frankly frustrating and exhausting. Then they offered to have us go on a bus and check out some other spots, but we were so burned out that we declined. Honestly, the tour was just badly organized and planned and needed a better structure that doesn’t involve trains and buses. Most tours are walking tours of a specific area, this was very much not that. Also, in the end, none of the stories were actually GHOST stories. It’s more a historical true crime tour.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found Denise very nice. Our Tokyo Ghost Tour is described as a citywide experience that visits multiple locations connected to Japanese legends, dark history, folklore, and unsettling true stories. Because Tokyo is a large city, the tour includes public transportation between areas, and transport costs are not included in the tour price, as stated in the tour description. This tour is intentionally different from a single-neighborhood walking tour. It is designed to connect several atmospheric locations across Tokyo rather than remain in one small area. Some locations also have access limitations, so parts of the stories are told from nearby public areas where guiding is permitted. We also want to clarify that the tour includes a mix of ghost legends, haunted folklore, urban legends, historical tragedies, and true-crime-related stories. We understand that this format may not match every guest’s expectation of a traditional ghost tour, but we do our best to describe the structure clearly before booking. We appreciate your feedback and will continue reviewing how we present the tour so guests can better understand the format before joining.
Denise was wonderful! She gave us the best tour with great information! Highly recommend! Creepy, haunting, and informative tour of Tokyo, ending at Senso-Ji. A great evening with Denise!
We had a lovely time with our guide Denise Tan. She took us through the city as we learned about both ancient and modern spooky and sacred legends. The highlight was visiting the graveyard where an old woman sits many hours of the day and night by a Buddha statue. She spoke to us and Denise translated. She told us about the execution grounds upon which we stood that are now flanked by train tracks and her tiny apartment building. This became the highlight of the trip for me!
Fantastic walking tour with Denise, book it now! First, she was extremely good at communicating when and where to meet, and then when we got lost (Tokyo station was under construction) she came and found us! The stories were wonderful—interesting and full of Japanese historical and cultural facts. Denise is a great storyteller and I really enjoyed listening to her. Plus it’s in the evening so the weather is cooler and you get to see Tokyo at night with all the cool lights. We had a lovely time walking around and I would absolutely love to do another one with her. Highly recommend.
Great tour from start to finish. Maik really knew his stuff and made the tour both historically interesting and entertaining, engaging with us throughout the tour. Would recommend to anyone wanting a bit of a different tour to the usual.
If you're looking for a night in Tokyo that ventures far off the beaten path, this ghost tour is an absolute must. We joined expecting a few spooky stories, but what we got was a mesmerizing journey into Japan's rich folklore of yūrei (ghosts), yōkai (supernatural beings), and centuries-old mysteries that still linger in the city's shadows. Our guide was a masterful storyteller—knowledgeable, theatrical, and clearly passionate about Japanese mythology. They wove together historical events, urban legends, and ancient folklore with such skill that even skeptics in our group were hanging on every word. Walking through dimly lit neighborhoods and hearing tales of vengeful spirits, cursed locations, and eerie coincidences created an atmosphere that was genuinely haunting without ever feeling cheesy or overdone. What made this tour special was how it illuminated Japanese culture through its supernatural beliefs. We gained fascinating insights into how concepts of honor, revenge, and the afterlife have shaped these ghost stories for generations. The settings were perfectly chosen—quiet shrines, narrow backstreets, and spots you'd never notice during the day took on an entirely different character after dark. The tour culminated near Sensoji Temple, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Seeing the iconic Thunder Gate and the temple's glowing red lantern illuminated against the night sky, with far fewer crowds than during the day, felt almost magical. The contrast between the eerie tales we'd just heard and the serene, majestic beauty of the temple at night created a perfect, unforgettable ending. The paper lanterns lining Nakamise Street cast a warm, ethereal glow that felt like stepping into another world entirely. By the end of the evening, we were equal parts spooked and spellbound. It's the perfect blend of history, culture, goosebumps, and unexpected beauty. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Tokyo's mysterious side—just maybe don't walk home alone afterward!
Our guide, Denise, was knowledgeable, friendly, and all around amazing. The tour was long and detailed. I would definitely recommend. 10/10

Denise was absolutely phenomenal. She did so much research and was so knowledgeable for the tour it was astounding. I got lost on the way to the meeting spot and she came and found me. It wasn’t just a ghost tour - it was more than that. It was an evening tour around side streets in areas we’ve never would have known about or taken otherwise. Seeing the post work-world of Japan. She also told us stories including the ins and outs of Japan that you don’t hear about. She made sure that we were always comfortable - even bringing an extra umbrella when there was a slight chance of rain and she is very funny! I cannot give any higher recommendation. Book her and you will not be disappointed!
