Ätna und Taormina: Verkostung, Seilbahn und Offroad auf 2920 m

Our driver/guide, Davide arranged for early pickup, since my husband and I were the only people in the tour. He brought a van, because I had informed him that my husband is quite tall. The day started out fantastic and just got better. Davide was very engaging and told us loads of facts and history about the areas we drove through. He made frequent stops to show us very specific sights/points of interest. Davide told us that this was our day and he was here for however long we wanted to engage in this adventure. The only disappointment was that the cable cars for down for maintenance on Mt. Etna, but Davide was able to get us quickly to the counter to purchase tickets for the truck ride up the mountain. What an incredible adventure. Next we headed toward Taormina and we asked Davide to choose the lunch venue. It was right on the beach below the town with incredible views and food. He clearly knew this establishment well. Next , we returned to the van and Davide drove us to the city gate after having given us a quick review of the town. We wandered from gate to gate and then sent a text. Amazing! Davide appeared in minutes and we headed back. It was a fantastic day and we felt like we had made a new friend. Blessings with the baby and for your continued success. You were fantastic!!!

The day didn’t start brilliantly as they hadn’t logged our booking but they couldn’t have dealt with it better Frederica drove and guided us for the day and couldn’t have been more friendly and informative Etna gave us everything including heavy snow steam and sunshine Definitely worth taking the 4wd to the rim It was spectacular Taormina was great though busy Definitely recommend

You have to take your chances with weather. It was cold and cloudy but our guide made the best of it

I can't say how it was, since the vendor never showed up! They claimed there was a computer problem SEVEN months ago that caused our booking to not show up in their system. Funny, since we got a reminder from Viator to Get Ready! a couple of weeks ahead of our EARLY SUNDAY MORNING departure time, plus they billed us for the tour a few days ahead of it. Apparently, Viator also needs to remind the vendors of their upcoming bookings, too! The ONLY positive out of this cluster-f was the rapid processing of the cost to our credit card.

Serena was the best driver/guide we have ever had! She was informative, flexible, and fun. Mount Etna was amazing! Taormina was beautiful. Thank you Serena for a wonderful time.

The pick up and drop off process from the cruise port went very smoothly. Our Driver Bruna was very friendly, accommodating and enjoyed showing us the beauty of Mt Etna and the surrounding area. She also gave us plenty of time to visit Taormina and had us back to Catania on time. Thank you Bruna for an amazing and memorable day.

What an experience- such a wonderful day. It’s not everyday you stand on a live volcano! Our guide Peppe was the best guide - friendly accommodating flexible and knowledgeable. Taormina was the cutest and quaintest town perched up on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. We were collected and dropped off at the port on time. Excellent tour. Recommend this one.

Excellent from start to finish. The company was responsive with a couple of questions I had before the tour. The night before the guide, Guiseppe reached out to reconfirm the time and the meeting point. The car was clean and comfortable and we could not have wished for a better guide. He spoke perfect English, was very courteous and the information he shared was so interesting. He included historical information regarding Mount Etna and Taormina and also cultural information about Catania and its environs. He was very respectful of time management which we appreciated since we were in a cruise boat. The tour to Etna involved a scenic drive, a cable car and a four by four trip with an optional hike to one of the craters. You cannot go to the summit as Etna is an active volcano. Taormina was a spectacular town perched on top of a hill. Great view and shopping and the Greek amphitheater was very interesting to visit. We could not have been any happier. Giuseppe is an asset to the company he works for and the hospitality industry in which he has chosen to work.

Bruna was a great host, she was very knowledgeable and at all times strove to give us the best trip we could have had and I am happy to say she exceeded what we expected. The trip up Etna was great and well worth the extra to take the cable car and then off-road followed by a guided walk upto the highest point possible without gear. The trip to Taormina topped the day off. Good trip.
