Ausgehend von Catania führt Sie unser Guide auf einen schönen naturalistischen Weg und erklärt Ihnen die Ursprünge unseres Vulkans. Auf 2000 m erreichen Sie mit der Seilbahn 2500 m und dann mit einem 4x4-Fahrzeug 2950 m. Alpine Guides zeigen Ihnen die wunderschöne Landschaft der Basis der Gipfelkrater, die in 1 km Entfernung den Hauptkrater sehen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Kosten für die Seilbahn und das 4x4-Ticket nicht im Tourpreis enthalten sind. Sie zahlen diese direkt am Tag der Tour an den Guide (70€). * Im Winter, wenn die Wege von einer dicken Schneeschicht bedeckt sind (in der Regel von Januar bis März), wird ein Teil der Exkursion mit Schneeschuhen und Stöcken durchgeführt. Es könnte möglich sein, dass Sie mit einem Aufpreis von 30 Euro pro Person auf das Schneekatzenfahrzeug steigen. Dann besuchen Sie mit uns eine Höhle vulkanischen Ursprungs mit allen von uns zur Verfügung gestellten Geräten. Mittags genießen Sie ein Mittagessen aus sizilianischem typischem Streetfood, Wasser und lokalem Wein.

Verbringen Sie den Tag damit, einen der schönsten und aktivsten Vulkane der Welt zu entdecken, während Sie in kleinen Gruppen zum Berg fahren. Ätna. Abfahrt von Catania am Morgen zum Rifugio Sapienza am Ätna. Fahren Sie mit der Seilbahn und dem Geländewagen zu den Kratern des Vulkans und machen Sie eine Wanderung auf 3000 Metern! Besuchen Sie eine Höhle vulkanischen Ursprungs mit der von uns bereitgestellten Ausrüstung (Helme und Fackeln).

Great experience on Mount Etna
We have had an excellent tour with Danilo. He was such a knowledgeable and attentive guide, also funny and speaks perfect English. We have learned a lot and, despite the weather (full of snow on the volcano and expected to snow, but it eventually did not). The set-up is excellent, you get some warm jackets and proper boots in case you did not bring your own. The switch between various modes of transport keeps the effort in balance, but you get to actually trek a bit outdoors; the balance was perfect for a snowy season. Maybe during milder weather, you would like to trek more. The views are stunning anyway. For lunch, do not expect a full-fledged one, it's street food from Catania (pizzete, other savory pastry), and a bottle of wine for the group to share. It was anyway, enough to refuel for the last part of the tour. There was a small misunderstanding at the end when we had to pay, but it was eventually sorted out, and we paid as per the advertisement.

Enthusiastic and well informed guide shared everything we wanted to know about Etna and Sicily. Some walking and exploring involved but not strenuous.

With Giovanni, a young experienced guide, cultured, smiling and patient. He has a perfect grasp of his subject and it is a real plus! Mi trekking day on Mount Etna, magical place and much more than a volcano for Sicilians, yes Giovanni we understood and felt it with you! Impeccable organization: timing, points of interest, rest time, brunch (even for me gluten-free)... We were 8 in all including 5 who neither knew nor spoke the same language and yet, what an unforgettable moment of sharing!! Discovery in addition to Catania, an unknown city that really deserves to be visited. Beautiful. Count with the cable car extra (70€ anyway 😬) but you will not regret it. This day will remain for me the highlight of my trip to this surprising and disconcerting Sicily.
Highly recommend this trip. Picked up at 8.30 prompt and headed to base camp where we were able to get warm coats and shoes. Cable car was amazing, then in a truck where we drove further up the mountain to start the lava trek. Very very windy but not as cold as I expected. It was quite tiring but well worth the effort as the views and sheer scale of the landscape was spectacular. Then headed back down and went for a lovely picnic before going into a small larva cave and then getting dropped back off at the hotel. Tour guide was brilliant
Wonderful time with Giovanni, an extraordinary guide who taught us a lot. We took part in the excursion with our children aged 6 and 14, we all had a fabulous day! The views of the craters are breathtaking..., The icing on the cake: excellent lunch of Sicilian street food, with a small local wine...! We recommend Etna Experience, communication is easy and efficient, all the staff is very professional. Do not hesitate, they offer excursions for all levels.
