Chose to safari with Dipas on the recommendation of a previous guest. His communication before the trek was great! This was an add on after trekking to Annapurna Base Camp so we were definitely not fresh and didn’t expect such hot & humid conditions but we survived! It is not easy when hot so pay attention to the time you come. Our 4 days started with a tour of the local area and our first Rhinos sighting! Next morning we did the long canoe ride down river and began our jungle trek! We stayed two nights in a village on the border of the jungle! The next morning, we did our all day trek from the village and had the most amazing Rhinos encounters! Mating Rhinos and Mom/Baby pair that we got to observe for a long time! Some fighting rhinos also! Our breakfast & lunch made by our hostess was amazing… wrapped and tied in leaves! It really was an extraordinary day! Next was our jeep safari all day… again just incredible wildlife! While we didn’t see tigers, we heard them on 3 occasions. Didn’t see sloth bears either but saw much evidence of them! Because we hadn’t seen them, Dipas offered us an extra morning of keeping in a different part and it was gorgeous! The experience was well worth the time & money… just pick a cooler time to enjoy more. Dipas and Maya took very good care of us from beginning to end!
I wanted the Mission Big Cat Tour, but didn't have the exact time required. I communicated with Dipas and he arranged a tour that worked around my schedule, including airport pick up/drop off, meals, and lodging/home stays. I requested a strenuous hiking trek and Dipas delivered! We had 2 full days of walking, a Jeep safari day, and a 1/2 day of canoe trip (maybe 30min in the canoe) and short hiking. We didn't see a tiger, but saw just about everything else in the park! So many rhinos that I stopped taking pictures unless it was perfect (probably 50 rhinos), muggar crocs, gharials, gaurs (wild ox), multiple sloth bears including one with a baby on its back, mongoose, multiple boar, cobra, macaques, langurs, spotted deer, barking deer, army-owned elephants, and so many birds (rollers, storks, herons, fish eagles, kingfishers, etc.) Dipas and the other guide, Maya, were extra cautious about my safety the entire time and were incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, birds, and plants that we encountered. (That's not true of all guides in Nepal.) They were also genuinely fun people to spend 4 days with while trekking through the jungle. My suggestion is to let them know that you want to eat what they're eating (not American sandwiches) and you'll be in for some amazing trail food. I eat gluten free and had more than enough food every day (potatoes, curry, rice, eggs, etc.). Daily I saw people clearly envious of this solo female walking off into the brush with two guides all to herself. So book with Dipas and you won't regret it!
Chitwan is the best place for wildlife viewing, you can see so much wild creatures. We did 3 days tour in Chitwan park. It was so much exciting and adventure. We saw so much wild animals including uncounted rhinoceros, many birds, 4types of deers, two types of monkeys, croco 2 types, 3 sloth bear, one leopard and so much. We enjoyed a lot in chitwan. The company provides good binocular and bird book. Thanks a lot to “The Chitwan Tiger Guide Service And Mini Library” and his local guides team. We recommend this company for all the wildlife lovers and again we come back in future. Thank you again for great tour.
