Reiseverlauf

We very much enjoyed our visit to the three islands with Tinitzia. She is very knowledgeable and set a good pace for the tours of each island. We took her advice and spent the following day in Verbania, visiting Villa Taranto and Museo del Paesaggio. Both highlights of our stay in Stresa. The one negative comment we believe important to add is that Tinitzia should use better judgement when sharing her personal views with tourists. We, four Americans (all very sensitive to the unfortunate things going on with our current elected officials), were told that Roosevelt planned the bombing of Pearl Harbor in order to justify attacking Japan. This is an absurd conspiracy theory that has been disproved. She has every right to believe it, but she should know better than to state it as fact in conversation with US tourists. It was very offensive! She also made disparaging remarks against Pope Leo. Some things should not be shared with strangers. So….. we have decided to not give her a rating. She knows her history about the islands, but has very poor EQ. She should probably not be assigned to travelers from the US.
Giulia
We decided with another couple of friends to visit Lake Maggiore with its Borromean islands. And we could not do everything by ourselves, so we decided to hire a guide for the three Borromean islands. I contacted Giulia Ferrari, and it was a happy choice; we can say well done, well done, and well done. She also advised us on how to get around in the following days, what to see, and where to eat, and everything went well. Thank you, thank you again, Giulia, from Dorino with Paola and Armando with Rossana.
Guilia was a delightful guide and full of knowledge which she shared willingly. Having a private boat was a bonus for us.
Thanks so much!
We had a great day visiting the 3 islands with Guila. Very informative and knowledgeable about the villas and the botanicals. The homes are a must see in the area and the gardens are gorgeous. It is worth having a guide to tell you wjat all the plants are and the history of the homes and family. Recommend getting the private boat so you can spend more time on the islands instead of waiting for ferries, but you can it either way

Private Boat is an advantage tour guide was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of trip including her knowledge of plants. Her recommendations for places to eat and she was very conscious of our various mobility issues.
Thanks!
Very good guide he made us discover his island with passion. It was a great pleasure to spend half a day with many anecdotes. We have a very good memory
A big thank you to Giulia , our precious Guide in the visit to the 3 Borromean Islands, very prepared in everything, history, botany and the whole territory, really pleasant and interesting day. Thanks again Giulia from Anna and Maurizio
Julia was excellent. Very informative and helpful with recommendations. I recommend the private boat over the public. It was nice being able to go between the islands when we wanted rather than waiting with masses of people trying to crowd onto overcrowded boats.
Thanks Giulia
We had a great time on this two hour tour of Cinque Terre. Sara was an excellent captain and host and told us the history of the area. She brought us to a cave and we snorkeled with fish. This was a great activity to see where we hiked the day before. We felt welcomed, safe and informed. Great fun!
