Pubs, History and a Great Afternoon with Dave-o
A Fantastic Way to Learn About Sydney
We had a very enjoyable afternoon exploring The Rocks with our professional and knowledgeable guide, Dave-o. It was a fantastic way to learn about the origins of Sydney while visiting some character-filled historic pubs and enjoying good beer. We also appreciated having the option to choose a soft drink.
Be prepared for plenty of walking, including some hilly terrain, but it was well worth it. A fun and memorable way to experience this historic part of Sydney. Highly recommended!

Fun night at the rocks
We liked being able to walk around the rocks and learn the history of the area. We were able to pick which beer to try at each location and wine was an option if you are not a big wine drinker. It would be nice if you had time to buy some snacks at a location or two on the trip.

Great tour of Pubs in the Rocks

Fabulous Tour - Highly Recommend
We had a fabulous time on our tour with our guide Doug (aka Duggie, Dougall 😂).
It was just the four of us (two couples), which made the tour feel really special and personalised. We’ve travelled to Sydney a few times before and have always enjoyed a drink or two around The Rocks, but this guided tour took it to the next level!
It’s so much more than just a pub crawl — it’s also a fascinating history lesson and a great insight into how The Rocks came to be what it is today.
Doug was incredibly engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. Do yourselves a favour while you’re in Sydney and book this tour. You definitely won’t be disappointed!

Worth it

Great Experience
We had a great time with Simon learning about the history of The Rocks. The Pubs all had their own fascinating stories. The small group size made for an intimate experience. Highly recommend if your schedule allows. Mahalo for sharing!

Excellent Pub and History Tour with Dave!
We took the Rocks Pub Tour with Dave and had a great time. Dave did a great job of interweaving pub and beer lore with the history of Australia and the Rocks district. He was also incredibly helpful in helping us plan a day trip to Manly onn the ferry the next day. There were 6 of us on the tour, so it was a warm and friendly experience. We took this tour after disembarking from our cruise ship-the ship provided the same tour but at a higher cost. Highly recommend this tour!

Beers in the Rocks
Excellent tour with Emily. Visited great pubs and beers went down well. Emily was a fountain of information with a superb personality. Highly recommend
