Der Q Train ist ein preisgekröntes Eisenbahnrestaurant, das entlang der historischen Bellarine Railway zwischen Drysdale und Queenscliff fährt. Wir laden Einheimische und Besucher gleichermaßen ein, an Bord unserer restaurierten Kutschen zu kommen und eine kulinarische Reise durch die Bellarine-Halbinsel zu genießen. In unseren privaten First Class Dining Compartments genießen die Gäste fünf Gänge mit regionalen Produkten, die jeweils perfekt mit einem lokalen Wein, Bier oder Mocktail kombiniert werden. Essen, entspannen und die Landschaft vorbeirollen lassen.

Der Q Train ist ein Restaurant, das entlang der historischen Bellarine Railway zwischen Drysdale und Queenscliff fährt. Der Zug fährt in der Regel vom Bahnhof Drysdale ab und fährt nur 15 Fahrminuten von Geelong entfernt zurück. Bei ausgewählten Diensten fährt der Q Train jedoch vom Bahnhof Queenscliff ab und kehrt dorthin zurück. Nie zuvor hatte Australien eine historische Eisenbahnlinie gesehen, auf der regionale Lebensmittel, Wein, Bier und Apfelwein präsentiert wurden. Wir laden sowohl Einheimische als auch Besucher ein, sich an Bord unserer restaurierten Kutschen zu begeben und eine gastronomische Reise zu unternehmen, wie Sie sie noch nie erlebt haben. Me and my fiancé enjoyed today — absolutely beautiful experience. The food was a 10/10 and Shalia our waitress was an absolute delight. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special day out ❤️
An amazing experience. Wonderful food and service throughout. The menu was varied and well presented. The introductory comments on each round of drinks and food course from the waitress added to the experience. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience with delicious dishes. All staff, although young, were very accommodating, knowledgeable of all the dishes & beverages & most friendly. We had a hiccup with being seated in Q-class instead of Private carriage class & the matter was dealt with promptly. A+++ for service & definitely recommend the experience

A wonderful experience , quite unique in being on a train and fine dining, staff were extremely professional & helpful particularly Amy & Andrew who made our trip so enjoyable

Been thinking about doing the Q train for a while. Checked, they had private dining available when we were visiting the area so booked it. First off - staff and service were excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and around if you had a request. Thanks to Daniel, Andrew and the rest of the team. Food was very good to excellent, wine pairing worked well and timings / portion sizes were just right. Will be back to try this again when the summer menu lands.

The Q Train first class was lovely. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with lunch on the train. The food was delicious (5 courses) and well prepared, however with the spring basket which included pate, you didn’t get enough bread. We had alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks which were paired with each dish but was lovely that you could swap them if preferred. I swapped a red wine with white wine as a personal preference. The journey from Drysdale to Queenscliffe is pleasant. The train moves quite slowly so you can enjoy your food and drink. The team were wonderful, ensuring your journey was a good experience but a couple of greeters/servers were inexperienced, still learning the art of providing first class customer service. This didn’t impact our experience as we can appreciate they are still learning. They were polite and well presented which was good to see. Knowledge about the menu and background of each dish/the history of local suppliers etc will come in time. Overall, I’d recommend the first class experience for a special occasion.

We had a wonderful day out on the Q Train. The train runs through a beautiful part of Victoria and we could’ve easily turned this into a weekend away. Experience is amazing, from the train itself to the food, to the staff. We were greeted by the friendly staff at the entrance and were treated to a drink of choice before getting onto the train. We are too lovely ladies looking after us, Georgia and Shaz. They were wonderfully attentive and made us feel really special. The food is wonderful with the five course meal and it was also great to be able to choose between a beer wine and mocktail with each serving. We had the cabin to ourselves. However, next time we would love to possibly do the same journey in the dining carriage with friends. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience.

We took the trip on a cool but sunny day. Our minds were blown when we were told the history of the train. My dining companion worked on the train when it was the Sunlander. The peaceful journey was the perfect way to enjoy the degustation menu with matching wines. Our waiter Vanessa Is knowledgeable about the menu and wines which are mainly sourced from the region. Highly recommend this trip
Unfortunately I find it impossible to give the new degustation a high score. I really feel they are trying to go very “with it”. I am sorry they don’t continue with nice normal, tasty dishes.
