Die Miami Design Preservation League wurde 1976 gegründet und bietet seit über 40 Jahren stolz geführte Wanderungen durch das Art Deco District an. Alle Erlöse kommen der Erhaltung zugute. Besucher werden in die Geschichte, Architektur und Erhaltungsbemühungen von Miami Beach eingeführt. Das Tourticket beinhaltet den freien Eintritt in das Art Deco Museum und den Gift Shop. A worthwhile experience. At first I thought two hours was going to be long. But Franzi made the your interesting and informative. If you want to learn a little history about South Beach and learn about the architecture this is a perfect tour.
Our guide Ileana was super! She was able to blend the history of Art Deco with anectodes from Miami's history very well. She also balanced the exposure to the outside heat with some nice air conditioned visits to the inside of some hotels!
We had an amazing time on our art deco walking tour of Miami Beach. Our guide, Ileona, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area history and architecture. Additionally, she had so many personals connections and stories she shared willingly that were informative and fascinating. It was a hot day but she managed to get us indoors often enough to keep us cool. The time flew by as we walked this historic neighbor hood absorbing the history and the beauty. If you take this tour, I highly recommend this guide.
Our tour guide was extremely informative, and I really appreciated the detailed explanations of both the interior and exterior of the buildings. The indoor sections provided a welcome chance to cool down, and providing water before we started was a thoughtful touch. There was a minor audio issue with the portable speaker at the beginning, but it was quickly resolved before we even left the starting point.
The tour of the historic buildings on Ocean Drive is unmissable. We had Rick as a guide who was excellent and managed to captivate not only us adults but also our 14-year-old son! The visit was truly interesting with historical notes on the birth of Miami, on the buildings, and also with many visits into the lobbies of the most iconic hotels! I absolutely recommend dedicating 2 hours to this experience! Francesca

Lovely art deco walking tour, it was close to 40 degrees but our host Iliana still took us to the most amazing buildings and we were allowed inside nearly all of them, this is a must do on Miami Beach,
