It’s a nice experience with a pleasant guide but as most things in Iceland, too expensive for what it is. 75 usd pp for a 1 hour walk …. Not even a coffee or tea or chocolate milk included…. You have to pay for that.

Great guide! Cave was impressive and tour was worth what we paid. Make sure you have good gripping boots.

Loved the chance to learn from our guide about the geology and history of this lava field and of the cave. A great thing to do when the weather outside was windy and rainy! We hadn't done any such kind of tour on previous travels and are glad we took the time for this tour. Beautiful area and surrounding waterfalls are stunning!

Interesting experience to learn how lava tunnels are created. Your guide was knowledgeable and the cave was well laid out. 1 hour was a good amount of time and was able to get a tour same day.

Meeting at 9 a.m., after a few km in the plain, we arrived at the entrance. Scan the QR code and the magic began right after the safety instructions and the rules to follow. We discovered the interior of the lava flow, and the magnificent colors of the nature of the earth and its construction.

It was so wet down there. Be prepared. Definitely need rain jacket and rain pants. Pretty cool to learn about how it was formed.

The tour was an hour total, which included about 45 minutes of guide and 15 minutes of photography. The guide did a good job explaining how and what we were experiencing. Just also, it can be wet and cold down there.
