Vom Ausgangspunkt erreichen wir die antike Stadt Savoca Sizilien, ein wunderschönes mittelalterliches Dorf, das als eines der schönsten Dörfer Italiens bezeichnet wird. Sie starten eine kleine Savoca-Tour und folgen den Spuren des Godfather-Films von F.F. Coppola, dem auf dem Panoramaplatz des Dorfes eine Statue gewidmet ist. Dieser Platz ist auch für die berühmte Bar Vitelli sehr beliebt. Unsere Führer erklären Ihnen seine Geschichte und seine Feste. Dann fahren wir nach Taormina, bekannt als die „Perle des Mittelmeers“. Sie werden einen Spaziergang in seinem alten Corso Umberto machen, der kürzlich einer der Drehorte von White Lotus Sicily für die zweite Staffel war. Claudia our guide was lovely! Our first stop beautiful Toarmina, was hot and very busy, although we still enjoyed our time there! Our next stop, Savoca was the highlight of the tour for our group. We had many Godfather fans who enjoyed seeing the filming location! Thanks to Claudia & our driver for an incredible time! From the singing Scottish group!
This tour is sooooo good, this was our 2nd year in a row attending. Ok, we brought family along because we knew they would also love it as much as we do. Bus picks you up right outside the cruise ship port, sign easy to read, bus clean and guide was superb. Katie is a wonderful guide full of joy. Knowledgeable and passionate explaining the Sicily portion of The God Father movie set. Can’t provide too much detail as I don’t want to spoil it for you. Don’t miss it. It’s a must do! A brilliant day from start to finish. Katia the guide was excellent and was brilliant to be with. The visits were great and the Godfather aspect of the trip first class. The transport was great as was the supplied water. Ample time to do your own thing at the stops and we were dropped back at the ship with ample time to spare. The stop early in the morning in Messina was really interesting as well. Excellent trip and guide. Well worth booking when in Messina.
Katia was lovely and very informative on the journey, she exceeded our expectations, she is a wonderful tour guide and is a credit to the company, Francesca the driver was also a lovely man and was very helpful and friendly.
All I can say is wow! Katia was our guide and let me tell you she was AMAZING! This tour was so interesting and beautiful. Katia gave us the best tour in Sicily. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long enough in Sicily bc we had to be back to the ship at 4:15. But that’s the cruise lines fault. The godfather locations were so cool to see in person. St. Lucia’s church was beautiful and Taoramina was spectacular! If you can request Katia do it! Best excursion! Very enjoyable day with informative guide through Godfather village of Savoca and then through pretty Taormina - just the right amount of time in each. Be prepared for lots of walking, although shade and refreshments always nearby.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Discover Messina Sicily, and Julia and Vito made the day truly unforgettable! Julia was an incredible guide. She was extremely knowledgeable not only about The Godfather movies, but also about Sicily, its history, culture, and the places we were visiting. She had a great way of telling the stories that made everything feel alive and kept all of us completely engaged throughout the day. She was also incredibly accommodating with our toddler, which made a huge difference for our family. By the end of the tour, somehow Julia had even turned all of us into fans of the Messina football team! 😂⚽️🇮🇹 And then there’s Vito… Vito might be the best driver I’ve ever had on a tour. Watching him navigate the Sicilian roads was like watching Jason Statham in The Transporter mixed with Jason Bourne. 😂 He handled everything with incredible confidence and skill while still making us feel completely safe and comfortable. Honestly, watching him drive was almost an attraction itself! Julia and Vito were the perfect team. They gave us an amazing look at Sicily, made us laugh, taught us a ton, and made the entire day feel personal rather than like we were just being taken from one tourist stop to another. If you’re a Godfather fan, or even if you’re just looking for a fantastic way to experience Sicily, I highly recommend Discover Messina Sicily. This was one of our favorite excursions. Our guide Katia and driver Peppe were excellent. Katia was very knowledgeable about the region and provided so many informative details about the GF movie and sites.
