Teezeremonie-Erlebnis im Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka

I wanted to give a special thanks to the tea ceremony master and the wonderful ladies at the Sheraton Miyako. Although they had indicated that providing the tea ceremony experience was relatively a new thing at the hotel, the time and efforts they shared with us show their years and years of experience and made for a memory that we will never forget. They carefully helped us to dress in the appropriate kimono and walked us through the ceremony step by step and even took pictures for us to help capture our time there (and they even dealt with my terrible Japanese at the same time :) We cannot recommend this enough to anyone who has an interest in learning about and actually getting a chance to participate in the authentic tea ceremony experience. You will walk away feeling a bit like you are a part of something that has significant cultural and historical ties to the foundations of Japan and create a lasting memory of your time there at the same time.

Amazing experience learning about Japanese tea and actually enjoyed it very much. I also like matcha tea personally. I 100% recommend. Wearing a kimono was also great.

The tea ceremony was a pleasure to experience. Everyone is very kind, and thoughtful. Would recommend to everyone to come experience this every time they visit Japan.

We had an AMAZING time doing this tea experience! We came as five people, 4 ladies and 1 guy, and they had all hands on deck helping dress us in our beautiful kimonos. The tea ceremony itself felt super authentic and we loved learning about the history behind tea ceremonies and matcha. Arigato Guzaimasu for a lovely time!☺️

I learned a lot at this tea ceremony experience! They had an amazing atmosphere and were very welcoming! We got to choose from a variety of beautiful kimono options. Once they helped us put the kimonos on they did an amazing job teaching us all the different steps and customaries behind a tea ceremony. Overall a great experience!

Great experience! They assured us it was a casual introduction and to not worry about all of the formalities. They encouraged more education around the tea ceremony afterwards. It was a great stress free way to be introduced to the tea crremony. There was an actual tea master who demonstrated the process for us. The movements were so elegant. It was just fascinating to be in the same room. If you are interested in tea ceremony and wearing the traditional clothes, but feel a little intimidated, I suggest this tour 100%. They were incredibly accommodating and made sure to check in on our physical health as Americans who don't traditionally kneel.

A very fun and informative experience! Delicious tea with traditional room and tools. The guides and tea master were so kind and helpful. Definitely come experience traditional Japanese tea ceremony!

We really enjoyed this experience! My husband and 2 sons were hesitant at first to do it but were glad that they did. Able to wear the kimono while learning how to make tea was one of the highlights of this trip. The staff were also very nice and friendly. We highly recommend this activity.

Very informative about the history and traditions. Kimono experience was fun. Every part of the ceremony explained. Fantastic service took many photos for us. Very highly recommended.
