This experience was so much fun! Bennie the chef was so charismatic and brought the energy to the cooking class. Richard kept the glasses filled and the food was really good too!
This is the second cooking class I’ve attended here and can’t speak highly enough of the experience. Pau is a wonderful guide, and the other staff are warm and welcoming. We got to cook tapas from all parts of Spain and made some great friends in the class with which to share the experience. The unlimited wine is truly unlimited and you get to eat the tapas as you go as well as a main course at the end. Worth repeating.
Overall, a very lovely experience! Our teacher was very knowledgeable and friendly, leading a great class where we learned a lot and laughed a lot. Although it was a bit expensive, the bottomless wine and amazing food made up for it! It wasn’t too long or too short, they do most of the prep for you, so it’s not as much a “technical workshop” as it is a fun social experience. It was great to cook alongside others and get to know my classmates as well. The groups weren’t too big, so there was plenty of personalized attention and assistance.
This was wonderful! Nico was an amazing chef and guide through cooking! This is amazing to do if you want to have fun!!!
This will remain a HIGHLIGHT of our trip! Nicko and Benny made this an amazing experience. The food, the wine, the music, all of it was TOP NOTCH. What I especially appreciated was that they took such great care of my allergy concerns. We highly recommend this experience.
I love taking cooking classes on my travels around the world and this one was fantastic. Benji at The Cooking Clubhouse was a lot of fun and did a fantastic job explaining the different regions of Spain, what we were making and the flavors of each unique region of the country. There are wines he recommends and there are non-alcoholic beverages too. I would’ve been happy with just the tapas but the team also prepares a main course and a dessert for you to enjoy at the end of the class. I couldn’t finish the entree but the dessert, a light and airy crema Catalàna was incredible. We made 5 tapas as part of the class. Our menu included mini chorizo sausages cooked in apple cider, pan con tomate, stuffed peppers, garlic shrimp and sautéed mushrooms over bread.
The customer service was phenomenal, the actual facility was gorgeous, and the food was divine. They had the best playlist and amazing wine- if it wasn’t the last night of our trip we would have rebooked another class!
This was just the best. So much fun. 3 plus hours of a lovely time and cooking and just having a great time. The guys made it. They were very knowledgeable but also fun and attentive to what we were doing and the pouring. Wine was more pouring than pairing! Not complaining. Fab glass of Cava on arrival. Everything was ready for us - chopped and ready to cook which was great. We made 5 tapas and all were pretty good. If you don't like garlic don't do this! After making the tapas we went downstairs to eat where also another meal and some wine pairing. Lovely quality wine. Just so worth every penny and minute. Highly recommend and would 1000% do it again.
Nice and professional kitchen setup, good atmosphere and very well organized ...... we could have wanted us more focus on the food compared to the beverages.
This was one of my favorite things while in Madrid! Benny was our chef/instructor that evening. Class holds about 20, but there were only 3 of us! What a wonderful private and intimate cooking experience!
