Taste Austria : Strudel Class | Lokale Tappas | Bier & Wein

Beschreibung

What a great evening - "A Taste of Austria" hosted by Johan completely exceeded our expectations. Johan was very personable and the food itself was outstanding - beautifully authentic, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with real care and expertise. Every course felt thoughtfully put together, and you could tell a lot of love went into the menu. The apple strudel making was great… made it very simple and learned a lot. Highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to discover Austrian cuisine in a warm, engaging, and beautifully hosted setting.
What a fun experience! Not only did we learn how to make apple strudel, he made it look easy. And then I thought we would receive just some small bites to eat, but it almost felt like a 5 course meal! He accommodated the vegetarians in the group and provided excellent wine and beer pairings. Truly an evening that surpassed our expectations. This event takes place at a cooking school room and the food preparation and presentation was excellent. A delicious and fun time!
Learn how to make Strudel and while your dessert bakes enjoy 4 courses of local Austrian cuisine paired with either beer or wine. Both chefs are friendly and knowledgeable. Great event for family or friends. I highly recommend
This is the third experience we‘ve booked with Johann and the Edelweiss staff—all have been amazing! Many do not yet know about this cooking school. Their experiences are some of the best-kept secrets in Salzburg! The evenings are thoughtfully curated with a hands-on lesson on how to make a great Apfelstrudel, followed by a series of tapas, each more delicious than the previous and with vegetarian options, paired with the perfect glass of beer or wine. It’s the perfect way to experience the essence of Austrian cuisine. By far one of the best and most memorable experiences in Salzburg! Perfect for groups or good friends and family!
Food was good along with the beer… great conversation with both staff and other guests! Great way to end our trip. Pairings were perfect with the beer!
Very knowledgeable beer artisan with 6 beer tastings, paired with top flight of freshly prepared dishes of local cuisine.
Overall a good experience however we were disappointed that the “beer and wine tasting” included no wine! That was the main reason we booked this experience to taste and learn about some Austrian wines. The food was good but small portions. Jeff the host was very nice but the experience was lacking. Overall it was fine but overpriced for what it was.
Johann & Jeff led an excellent introduction to Austrian food & beer (next time, & there will be a next time!) we're looking forward to the food & wine tasting. Thoroughly recommend for an informative & tasty guide to dining in Salzburg -- in an atmospheric setting.
Great evening with strangers that felt like friends. Jeff and Johan did a great job to great an atmosphere that facilitated people opening up and enjoying beer and good food. Jeff was very knowledgeable about the selected beers and the meal put together by Johan was absolutely fantastic and went well with the beers. Felt like I could have sat there all night drinking. Definitely recommend
Although we booked early, a group of 26 was also booked for the same evening. They told us usually groups are about 20 so they had to adapt. We had 5 beers and plates. Sounded like the usual was 6. The food was regional and very good. Not everyone liked everything, but it was tasty food and an enjoyable experience. Fortunately the group we sat with were very friendly and we had a good time. The noticeable drawback was the small beer samples. . They were similar to wine size and we felt another inch in the glass would have been better.
