Ihre Erfahrung beginnt mit einer kurzen Landanerkennung und einer sanften Einführung durch Ihren Kulturlandbotschafter. Gemeinsam spazieren Sie zwischen hoch aufragenden Zedern, Ahornen, Tannen und Waldbeeren und erfahren, wie die indigenen Völker seit jeher nachhaltig in dieser Region leben. Durch spannendes Geschichtenerzählen und landbasierte Lehren werden Sie entdecken, wie lokale Pflanzen und Bäume traditionell für Lebensmittel, Medizin, Technologie und kulturelle Praktiken verwendet wurden. Ihr Fortgeschrittener erzählt Ihnen die Geschichte des „Baumes des Lebens“ und seiner vielen Geschenke, einschließlich der Verwendungen im Zusammenhang mit Transport, Unterkunft, Kleidung und Zeremonie. Unterwegs erfahren Sie, wie indigene Gemeinschaften durch selektive Ernte und gegenseitige Beziehungen mit dem Land die Verwaltung praktizierten, Wissenssysteme, die bis heute andauern. Jede Tour wird von der Jahreszeit und den Interessen der Gruppe geprägt.

Ihr Erlebnis beginnt an der Stanley Park Bus Loop, die sich neben dem Mini Train und Aquarium Parkplatz befindet. Gäste, die mit dem Auto anreisen, können den Park von der Georgia Street betreten, dem Causeway folgen und die Ausfahrt Pipeline Road am Kreisverkehr nehmen. Fahren Sie weiter bergauf am Rosengarten vorbei und biegen Sie rechts auf den Parkplatz für den Minizug, das Aquarium und die Busschleife ab. Ihr Kulturland-Botschafter erwartet Sie in der runden Holzlaube im Freien in der Busschleife. Hier treffen sich die Gäste, checken ein und treffen den Fortgeschrittener. Nach kurzen Einführungen und einer Begrüßung bricht die Gruppe gemeinsam in Richtung Beaver Lake auf, um den Hauptteil der Tour zu beginnen.
Vom Stanley Park Bus Loop aus werden die Gäste auf einer geführten Wanderung in Richtung Beaver Lake aufbrechen, schattigen Waldwegen folgen und an mehreren ikonischen Punkten des Weges innehalten, um Geschichten zu erzählen und Wissen auszutauschen. Während der Wanderung der Gruppe wird der Kulturlandbotschafter wichtige Pflanzen, Bäume und Landschaftsmerkmale vorstellen und indigene Lehren, Geschichten und traditionelle Nutzungen im Zusammenhang mit Lebensmitteln, Medizin, Technologie und kulturellen Praktiken teilen. Das Tempo ist entspannt, mit regelmäßigen Stopps, um das Land zu beobachten, Fragen zu stellen und sich in Diskussionen zu engagieren. Die Route umrundet den Beaver Lake, bevor sie auf dem Trail in Richtung Stanley Park Bus Loop zurückkehrt. Die Wanderung dauert insgesamt etwa 90 Minuten und endet am selben Treffpunkt, an dem die Tour begann.
Nachdem die Gruppe die Schleife um den Beaver Lake absolviert hat, macht sie sich auf dem Waldweg zurück in Richtung Stanley Park Bus Loop, wo die Tour endet. Der Rückweg bietet den Gästen die entspannte Möglichkeit, zusätzliche Fragen zu stellen, das Gelernte zu reflektieren und sich in informelle Gespräche mit ihrem Kulturlandbotschafter zu setzen. Die Tour endet am selben Treffpunkt, sodass die Gäste bequem zu ihren Autos, Bussen zurückkehren oder den Stanley Park auf eigene Faust erkunden können.

This is a phenomenal walk through a part of Stanley Park and Beaver Lake with insightful insights by our Squamish guide. We learned so much about the culture and practices of First Nations inhabitants and it was so much more real than reading about it in a book. Delightful experience and wonderful guide.
We had an absolutely amazing time. Our guide Ruby was a wealth of knowledge. We could not have asked for a better tour and it was a highlight of our 2.5 week trip through Alaska and Canada!
The tour was fascinating. Jayden (sp?) was so incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to the subjects from history to cultures to science and more. The tour links the present to the past while focusing on Stanley Park's indigenous foundations. Viator should definitely offer more of Talaysay Tours offerings.

We were lucky to have two indigenous women share their knowledge of the land that Stanley Park is on. Both very connected to the land, the flora and fauna. I very much recommend this tour.
We were late and hadn’t signed the waivers and there was a welcoming guide waiting for us who was very patient with us. The tour was excellent and the guide Ruby so accommodating.

I really enjoyed the experience. It is not strenuous, flat walking. The meeting place is where the tram bus stops. Gavin our guide was fantastic, great to meet someone with a desire to learn about his culture and to share that journey with those who wish to “smell the roses”. Well worth it.
The guide was great! It was a lovely walk through Stanley park where I was able to learn do much about trees, plants, and indigenous culture!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic . We learned the many uses of plants and trees used by indigenous people for nutrients and for medicinal uses. Our guide also shared some personal experiences under the guidance of his grandfather who taught him the value of and responsibility to nature as a way of life.
