Auckland zum Coromandel Drive
Cathedral Cove ist die schönste und "Must Visit" -Stätte auf der Coromandal-Halbinsel. Die Höhle und der Strand dienten als Tunnel, durch den die Pevensie-Kinder in der Kinofassung von Die Chroniken von Narnia: Prinz Kaspian erstmals wieder nach Narnia kamen. In jüngerer Zeit wurde die Bucht als einer der Orte im Musikvideo zum Song "Can't Hold Us" von Macklemore & Ryan Lewis mit Ray Dalton verwendet.
Hot Water Beach ist ein Strand. Sein Name stammt von unterirdischen heißen Quellen, die durch den Sand sickern. Es ist möglich, in den Sand zu graben, sodass heißes Wasser an die Oberfläche entweicht und ein heißes Wasserbecken entsteht. Besucher graben oft große Löcher und entspannen sich im Thermalwasser.

Visiting Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove was an unforgettable highlight of our New Zealand trip and hands down one of the best family experiences we had. Digging our own hot pools at Hot Water Beach was so much fun, and Cathedral Cove was simply breathtaking — truly a must-see. Our tour guide, Sharma, was outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, flexible, and endlessly patient, making the day feel relaxed, enjoyable, and perfectly suited for our family. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Hot Water Beach was truly a unique experience and Cathedral Cove was beautiful. Recommend brining a blanket and lunch to eat at the bottom of the cove. Sharma is an amazing tour guide!

This trip was unique and a lot of fun. Sharma was an excellent guide and was flexible. We appreciated his guidance and communication before, during and after the trip. We had an awesome driver that made the experience so much better. Be prepared for the long walk down to Cathedral Cove. Hot Water beach can get crowded but it's an experience.

WOW I could not believe how hot the sand was in the thermal area!!! Nature is amazing. Bring a shovel to dig up an area of sand then plop down, best to do it closer to the shore line so you can jump in the water. There is a shower for rinsing off and bathrooms at the Hot Water Beach. Cathedral Cove was really nice, it is best to go when you have your own transportation so you can stay as long as you want. Very picturesque.

Loved Cathedral Cove. Nice driving by Sam our guide. We enjoyed the ease of getting picked up and brought to cool sights. Wish we had a little more time at each, but other than that great trip!

Loved our trip to Hot Water Beach! While Cathedral Cove is closed, the tour was very responsive to creating new opportunities to see things in this beautiful peninsula. Sharma, our tour guide, loves his job and it shows. He even went above and beyond advising my husband on how to navigate driving left side to the road, which we will be doing later. Hot Water beach is a unique experience and we felt like we spent the day with a friend.

Tour guide was accommodating so we could leave at the same time as another party we were with. Private tour, just 5 of us in a very comfortable ride. It was everything we asked for. Perfect weather, spectacular scenery . Just a really fun day! Thank you Sharma for a perfect visit to Cathedral cove!
