Der Pyramidenkomplex von Gizeh, auch Nekropole von Gizeh genannt, ist der Ort auf dem Gizeh-Plateau im Großraum Kairo, der die Große Pyramide von Gizeh, die Chephren-Pyramide und die Menkaure-Pyramide sowie die dazugehörigen Pyramidenkomplexe und die Große Sphinx von Gizeh. Alle wurden während der vierten Dynastie des Alten Königreichs des alten Ägypten gebaut. Die Stätte umfasst auch mehrere Friedhöfe und die Überreste eines Arbeiterdorfes. Der Standort befindet sich am Rande der Western Desert, etwa 9 km (5 Meilen) westlich des Nils in der Stadt Gizeh und etwa 13 km (8 Meilen) südwestlich des Stadtzentrums von Kairo. Die Große Pyramide und die Chephren-Pyramide sind die größten Pyramiden, die im alten Ägypten gebaut wurden, und sie waren historisch als Embleme des alten Ägyptens in der westlichen Vorstellung verbreitet. Sie wurden in hellenistischer Zeit populär, als die Große Pyramide von Antipater von Sidon als eines der Sieben Weltwunder aufgeführt wurde.
Der Pyramidenkomplex von Khafre besteht aus einem Taltempel, dem Sphinxtempel, einem Damm, einem Totentempel und der Königspyramide. Der Taltempel brachte mehrere Statuen von Khafre hervor. Mehrere wurden 1860 von Mariette in einem Brunnen im Boden des Tempels gefunden.
Der Pyramidenkomplex von Menkaure besteht aus einem Taltempel, einem Damm, einem Totentempel und der Königspyramide. Der Taltempel enthielt einst mehrere Statuen von Menkaure. Während der 5. Dynastie wurde dem Taltempel ein kleinerer Vortempel hinzugefügt.
Die Große Sphinx liegt an der Ostseite des Komplexes. Derzeit herrscht unter Ägyptologen Einigkeit darüber, dass das Oberhaupt der Großen Sphinx das von Khafre ist. Zusammen mit diesen Hauptdenkmälern gibt es eine Reihe kleinerer Satellitengebäude, die als "Königinnen" -Pyramiden, Dammwege und Talpyramiden bekannt sind
Das Museum für Ägyptische Antiquitäten, allgemein bekannt als Ägyptisches Museum oder Museum von Kairo, in Kairo, Ägypten, beherbergt eine umfangreiche Sammlung antiker ägyptischer Antiquitäten. Khan el-Khalili (arabisch: خان الخليلي) ist ein berühmter Basar und Souq (oder Souk) im historischen Zentrum von Kairo, Ägypten. Der Pyramidenkomplex von Cheops besteht aus einem Taltempel, der heute unter dem Dorf Nazlet el-Saman begraben liegt; Diabas-Pflaster und nummulitische Kalksteinwände wurden gefunden, aber die Stätte wurde nicht ausgegraben. Der Taltempel war mit einem Damm verbunden, der beim Bau des Dorfes weitgehend zerstört wurde.

Mr Cherif and his team were wonderful and accommodating to me and my friend, they arranged our itinerary to fit everything we wanted to do, welcomed and took care of us like family for the whole trip. Getting around Egypt can be challenging when you don’t speak arabic, but we never had to worry about it because they drove us and accompanied us everywhere, ensuring our comfort. We managed to see the Gem, Giza pyramids and Sphinx, Old Cairo, Alexandria, Sakkara pyramids and Nile cruise. (Including amazing guides) We recommend this to everyone that wants a stress free Egypt trip with a highly experienced team and everything included, accommodation, driver and entrance fees (except GEM). I had a wonderful time in Cairo because of Emo Tours. On my first day , brother Rahman took me to the famous Nile Cruise, where I had an absolute blast, Rahman is an absolute gem of a person and we had alot of fun. The next day was my full day tour to Giza Pyramids & Egyptian Museum & the Citadel, my guid Abdul Wahid was absolutely fantastic, he's a very knowledgeable, humble guy who actually wants the tourists to have an amazing experience (I'm truly thankful to him as he made my day an absolute eventful one). A very big shout out to Mr. Waheed (The driver of the car on my full day tour), an absolute delight of a person. All in all I highly highly highly recommend Emo Tours to everyone who's in Cairo. We booked a half-day excursion with driver and lunch on emo tours. -negative points: The guide (speaking French) of the no of Memdouh (if my memories are good) picked us up in the morning at the hotel with the driver , adorable and very helpful driver (Hihab). Once arrived , when paying for the tickets (taken care of by the agency) the guide wanted to pay less for our tickets supposedly to give us a gift at the end with the difference of the money we spent on this excursion. He wanted to do this at every monument, each entrance leaving us to wait several minutes by bringing in the director of the different places. We felt very uncomfortable telling him that we had paid the full price of admission anyway. This guide was very nervous on several occasions when arguing with other people (including a police officer ) Instead of taking an excursion we also visited the pyramids. He could at times hurry us. we took a camel ride at a price 2 x higher than normal. At lunch we learn that drinks are not included in the meal.the guide took us to several shops. The first was an antique shop with exorbitant prices. Wooden jewelry box at 35 euros. The second was a shop where he manufactured and sold papyri (130 euros per papyrus A5) The third shop sold non-alcoholic flower fragrances with a box containing 6 small perfume at 200 euros (the next day we asked a person who speaks the language well to ask the price of the large bottle:10 euros while we paid the small:30 euros. To relax a little we took a sailing boat tour (flourka) without motor, the tour is 20 Egyptian pounds we paid 20 euros per person. During the boat tour the guide did not stop talking they absolutely wanted us to listen to him talking while we were there to relax. We told him about a boat cruise he started making calls here and there, he was talking very loudly he was giving us the information when we didn’t want it we just wanted to enjoy the moment. Once the boat tour finished we went to the souk they told us not to go back to the shops and wait for him to negotiate prices or he took us to shops he knew. Out of curiosity we went to a shop that sold the antiques with a difference of 50 euros. As soon as we told him about it he got angry and shouted at us in French so that everyone knew that we are not from here. A similar shop that sells antique that he knows was selling the same antique 30 euros more expensive than the shop where we asked the price. As soon as we started telling him that we didn’t agree with his behavior and that it wasn’t right he immediately got angry and threatened to leave us in the middle of the souk and wait for us in the car. We understood that he made a profit on all his customers’ purchases. The next day we called the agency Emo Tours explaining the behavior of the guide. The gentleman at the end of the phone insulted us by saying that we had no place in this country (which is my home country ) he also insulted my parents and the Arabs ) We called the headquarters and they said they would sort it out. -Pros: The driver of Hihab's no was very helpful and very kind with a very gentle drive. I recommend this driver a thousand times. The guide had a good knowledge of the places , monuments we visited . To conclude I absolutely do not recommend this agency which is very very expensive 200 euros a day and the guide who scams you by charging you 3 x more expensive items to make a profit to put in his pocket.
We had a great excursion! The tour was very complete and our ISLAM guide was great! He knows his work very well and is very friendly!
If the museum is about to move to the new one, they should not charge admission as if we were entering the Louvre or the British. Shame. Watchfulness shines through his absence and in the mummy room some other guide rests leaning on the urn of a 5000-year-old mummy as if he were at the bar.
Egypt; my biggest dream since I was a child. Maybe even reality was more beautiful than dreams thanks to the excursions that my partner and I hired. First of all, the price, ridiculous, we took it by Getyourguide, I think it was 15€ per person all day. That included chauffeur with car (pick us up and return hotel; a treat because Cairo is infinitely large) and local guide with perfect Spanish. More than eight hours explaining us with joy, energy, taking photos, giving us our space if we wanted and repeat, a guide and a driver exclusively for us throughout the day... It is a comforting feeling for us to be in the same pyramids of Keops, with hardly any tourists, with a wonderful guide that never tired of explaining and that we were okay. At the Museo del cairo it was a 3 1/2-hour information bombardment but tremendously interesting. To put some glue on it; we felt sorry because these wonderful people deviated for us and it was a feeling like almost servitude because of the little tourism there is...Obviously for the tourist it is a great advantage.
