Magisch zwischen dem blauen Himmel und dem schillernden farbigen Meer schwebend, scheint die Amalfiküste aus der Palette eines Malers entstanden zu sein, der die wärmeren Farbverläufe nutzen wollte, um eine Landschaft zu schaffen, die den Besucher auf Anhieb verzaubert und ihm ein aufregendes Erlebnis verleiht Solch eine evokative Ansicht, für einen Moment zu zweifeln, ist real. In diesem Land harmoniert der süße Duft von Zitronenblüten mit dem aromatischsten der mediterranen Vegetation und dem beißenden Aroma von Salzigkeit. Wo die leuchtenden Farben der Majolika-Kuppeln, Bougainvillea und Nelken-Pergolen den typischen weiß getünchten Häusern einen deutlichen farblichen Touch verleihen und sich an die letzten Ableger der Lattari-Berge klammern, die dramatisch ins Meer stürzen.
Die einzigartige Architektur der weißen Häuser von Amalfi, das fast das ganze Jahr über gute Klima, machen es zu einem Ziel für Tausende von italienischen Touristen und Ausländern. Amalfi ist eine Stadt mit etwa 7000 Einwohnern, die reich an Geschichte und Kunst ist und ihren Namen der weltberühmten Amalfiküste gibt, die seit 1997 zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO gehört. Amalfi, von mehr und wegen seiner Schönheit besucht, ist auch für Feinschmecker und Feinschmecker ein beliebtes Ziel, wo sie die "Cannelloni" erfanden. Ihre Gründung geht auf die Römer zurück; ab dem neunten Jahrhundert war es das erste der Seerepubliken und konkurrierte mit Pisa, Venedig und Genua um die Kontrolle des Mittelmeers.
Sorrento ist eine Stadt mit Blick auf die Bucht von Neapel in Süditalien. Aufgrund seiner Vielzahl an kleinen Antiquitätengeschäften und seiner Lage an der Amalfiküste ist es ein beliebtes Touristenziel. Es ist leicht von Neapel und Pompeji aus zu erreichen, da es sich am südöstlichen Ende der Circumvesuviana-Bahnlinie befindet. Die Stadt ist vor allem für ihre kleinen Läden bekannt, in denen Keramik, Spitzen und Intarsien (Holzarbeiten) verkauft werden. Die sorrentinische Halbinsel bietet Blick auf Neapel, den Vesuv und die Insel Capri. Der Amalfi Drive, der Sorrent und Amalfi verbindet, ist eine schmale Straße, die sich entlang der hohen Klippen über dem Tyrrhenischen Meer schlängelt. Fähren und Tragflügelboote verbinden die Stadt mit Neapel, Amalfi, Positano, Capri und Ischia. Sorrentos Klippen und Luxushotels haben Prominente angezogen, darunter Enrico Caruso und Luciano Pavarotti. Limoncello, ein Digestif aus Zitronenschalen, Alkohol, Wasser und Zucker, wird in Sorrent hergestellt. Andere landwirtschaftliche Produktion umfasst Zitrusfrüchte, Wein, Nüsse und Oliven.
Positano ist dramatisch, luxuriös und mehr als ein bisschen schneidig. Es handelt sich um die Amalfiküste mit schwindelerregenden Häusern, die in einer Kaskade aus sonnengebleichtem Pfirsich, Rosa und Terrakotta zum Meer hinunterstürzen. Nicht weniger fototauglich sind die steilen Straßen und Treppen, die von Hotels mit Glyzinien, eleganten Restaurants und modischen Einzelhändlern flankiert werden. Als Perle der Amalfiküste präsentiert es sich als eine Ansammlung von Pastellhäusern, die an den steilen Felsvorsprüngen des Lattari-Gebirges hängen und sich im klaren Meer spiegeln, umgeben von einem intensiven Zitronenduft und leuchtenden und lebendigen Bougainvillea-Farben. Ein Labyrinth von Gassen und Stufen mit kleinen Läden, in denen die typischen Produkte des lokalen Handwerks ausgestellt sind, haben zusammen mit der unbestrittenen Schönheit der Landschaft dazu beigetragen, Positano und die Amalfiküste weltweit bekannt zu machen. Wir verweisen auf die frischen Leinenkleider im Stil "Positano Fashion", die Ledersandalen, die bunten Keramiken und das Limoncello.
Die Küste von Sorrent ist ein zerklüftetes Vorgebirge am südlichen Ende der Bucht von Neapel. Diese hügelige Halbinsel endet abrupt an einer Klippe, die steil ins Mittelmeer abfällt. Die gesamte Küste rund um Sorrent war zu Zeiten von Magna Grecia, der legendären Stätte von Homers Sirenen, eine griechische Kolonie, bevor sie von den Römern erobert wurde, die die Gegend als Sommerspielplatz genossen. Es hat sich seitdem einen Ruf als exklusives Urlaubsziel bewahrt. Es bietet ein mildes Klima, herrliche Panoramen und eine nach Zitrusfrüchten duftende Luft.

We had an outstanding day with Max as our guide from Rome in Limo, exploring the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii from Naples. Our journey began with a departure from the chaotic cruise port and a drive along the famous winding coastal roads to Positano. Despite the traffic and the challenges of navigating one of Italy's most scenic routes, Max expertly managed the drive while sharing insights about the area, local life, and the unique traffic patterns of the Amalfi Coast. Positano was absolutely stunning, and while we could have easily spent an entire day there, we were able to see many of the highlights and take in the incredible views. From there, Max took us to Sorrento, where he recommended lunch at Ristorante Zi Ntonio. The meal was excellent and provided a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic local cuisine. Sorrento itself was charming, and we enjoyed exploring the town before continuing our tour. The final stop was Pompeii, where Rome in Limo had arranged for a local guide to meet us and lead us through the ancient city. Having a knowledgeable guide made a tremendous difference in understanding the history and significance of the site. Pompeii was far larger and more fascinating than we expected, and we could easily have spent more than a day exploring its streets and ruins. Although each destination deserved much more time than a single day allows, Max helped us make the most of every minute. Beyond the sights themselves, some of our favorite moments were the conversations during the drives between locations, where we learned about the region, its history, and everyday life in southern Italy. If you're visiting Naples and want to experience Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii in a single day, we highly recommend Max and Rome in Limo. Their planning, local knowledge, and professionalism made this one of the most memorable days of our Mediterranean trip.

Beautiful Drive, with plenty of view stops. Diego, our driver was so fun and informative. This was our second time doing this exact tour, but it was just as great. We had plenty of time for lunch on the cliff with a fabulous view, and time for shopping. Diego also briefly drove around Naples to show us his home town. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone stopping in Naples.

We booked a shore excursion from a cruise ship with Alex from Rome in Limo . We visited Ravello, Positano and Sorrento. The scenery was spectacular but what made the day really special was the warm personality and great knowledge of Alex our driver. I cannot recommend him highly enough . We booked four trips on this holiday with Rome in Limo.We were collected from Rome and dropped to the cruise ship .We also were collected from the airport and dropped to our hotel and from the ship back to the airport . On each occasion our driver was there early and the service overall is exceptional

We had a wonderful day with our driver Giovanni. He was prompt and professional and shared so much very interesting information with us. We were able to see Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello in one day. We enjoyed his company and he provided us a great lunch recommendation too! Jany was a huge help in making all of the reservations and handling all of our questions. Highly recommend this company!

We were on a cruise, but docked for a day in Naples. We had been to Pompeii and Naples before, and wanted to experience something different. The tour was all day, but the time passed quickly. Alex, the driver, met us at the dock. The Mercedes was comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and pointed out all the sites. He was very flexible and gave us options of what to see that interested us. We had free time in the cities to explore. We were returned to ship on time. On a side note, we also used RomeInLimo to shuttle us from our Rome hotel to our cruise ship. Both experiences were excellent! We were a group of 4, 2 couples. Price was reasonable considering the length of tour, what we saw, and the excellent tour guide!

We spent a beautiful day with Daniele on the Amalfi Coast. He was truly amazing and we are so happy we had the chance to meet him and learn all about this beautiful area of Italy. We didn't know what to expect, or how our personalities would accustom to our guide. My husband and I both feel like we won the lottery with Alessandro! From the time of pick up, until the time of drop off, we were greeted with a smile and shared laughter throughout, the entire time. There were at times a little bit of car karaoke! WOW! What a fun filled and exciting day that we got to experience. It has always been a dream to see this side of the coast, and for our honeymoon, we wanted a more intimate tour. Without hesitation, we booked the Rome in Limo tour through Viator. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Alessandro is a plethora of knowledge about the area. The evening prior on our cruise, we had heard that there was a rockslide in Positano, which may impact our day trip. Alessandro knew a back way that would allow us time along the coast for some shopping, site seeing and memories to last a lifetime; and honestly, I'm unsure who had more fun, us or our Tour Guide. We were able to get into Amalfi before the BIG busses and crowds, and able to enjoy a visit to the Duomo and shops. Once we finished there, we headed further up the coast, stopping at beautiful lookout points over the mountains, smelling the wonderful jasmine and flowers, and just taking in the beauty that this side of the world has to offer. However, we weren't finished... Since we couldn't visit Positano due to the route and time constraints of our cruise, Alessandro took us to Naples, where we enjoyed the BEST PIZZA, learned some of the history, and again, just took in all of the beauty. THIS TOUR WAS MAGNIFICANT! Do not hesitate to book it as they fill up quick. Ask for Alessandro. You will feel as if you're with a long lost family member! We will surely book in the future and request for him. Thank you again for the memorable time and laughs!!!
