Rethymno ist die drittgrößte Stadt Kretas westlich von Heraklion an der Nordküste Kretas. Hier existieren Denkmäler der archäologischen, osmanischen und venezianischen Zeit nebeneinander. Ein Spaziergang durch die Gassen der Altstadt, ein Besuch der türkischen Minarette und der venezianischen Festungen oder ein Kaffee am herrlichen Hafen sind einige der Möglichkeiten, die Sie während Ihres Besuchs nutzen können.
Chania wird von vielen als das "kleine Venedig" Kretas angesehen. Chania ist die zweitgrößte Stadt Kretas an der Nordküste westlich von Rethymno. Die Stadt Chania ist in die Altstadt mit dem wunderschönen Hafen und der Neustadt jenseits der venezianischen Befestigungsanlagen unterteilt. Die Altstadt ist eine der schönsten Städte im Mittelmeerraum und heißt „Venedig des Ostens“. Hier finden Sie türkische Minarette und Moscheen, muslimische Viertel, venezianische Festungen, Werften, Brunnen, Plätze, Bögen, Villen und den Leuchtturm. Besuchen Sie die berühmte Agora (Markt), auf der sich traditionelle kleine Läden und Tavernen befinden. Hier können Sie Souvenirs oder Lederwaren zu sehr guten Preisen kaufen.
Kournas See ist ein wunderschöner Lebensraum mit natürlichem Süßwasser, einzigartig auf Kreta. Das gesamte Gebiet von Kournas ist unter Natura 2000 geschützt, da es ein ausgewiesenes Feuchtgebiet ist. Viel Grün, steile Höhlen zwischen Hügeln, seltene Fisch- und Vogelarten machen Kournas zum idealen Ort für einen frühen Nachmittagswanderung.

The cities of Rethymnon and Chania are magnificent. I would have liked to have more time to better appreciate the restaurants and shops. The excursion went well with a guide who explains in 3 languages. An excursion to recommend
Plenty to see and enjoy at each of the three stop and on the coach. Lots of great information given along the way and good guidance at each stop. A great day out.
This was a superbly organised tour to the Chania region with three stops which gave plenty of time for sightseeing, shopping or eating. The tour was expertly conducted by Michael who spoke to the tour in three languages, English, French and German, thoroughly enjoyable.
Our 9 hour trip ended up being 15 hours!! No eating or drinking allowed on the vehicles. Chania and Rethymno were beautiful, but 3 hours in the two towns was not worth 12 hours of riding. They should have been more transparent on how long it would take for all of the pickups and dropoffs. Our tour guide was good, but the poor guy had to repeat everything in 3 languages.
We had a great time. Everything was so organized. The lake was nice, but we could have spent more time in the other two locations. For the price it was a great day.
We enjoyed both Rethymnon and Chania but would have preferred more time in Rethymnon rather than go to Lake Kournas. Lake Kournas was a little disappointing in that it is over commercialised and you don't really get to enjoy the Lake and it's surroundings as much due to all the businesses taking the frontage.
Excursion very interesting and complete, but a little tiring, so much there is to see! We particularly liked the cities of RETHYMON and LA CANEE and it makes us want to come back there again. The MICHAEL guide is very friendly and takes good care of all tourists. The explanations given during the trips are exciting and allow to discover all aspects of Cretan life, past and present. A great experience ... with a great time!
Suffering visit, very damaged by the persistent and torrential rain that became felt. The guide did not adapt the program to these circumstances - namely as to the time, clearly excessive, of visiting the lake.
I would have liked more time in Chania, so I could appreciate the place better and be able to walk along the different streets. The rest was okay.
Places were really nice. Chania had a really nice view. Beautiful colourful buildings! Loved Chania!
