Von Melbourne aus sind es nur 1 Stunde und 45 Minuten Fahrt direkt nach Phillip Island. Bei Ihrer Ankunft werden Sie vom Phillip Island Nature Parks Ranger zu einem geführten Spaziergang durch das Koala-Reservat von Phillip Island begrüßt. Sie erhalten eine Präsentation über Koalas, Geschichte und Bedeutung des Reservats und des letzten natürlichen Waldgebiets der Insel. Vom Koala Wildlife Park ist es nur eine kurze Fahrt nach Phillip Island, einem 10.000 Hektar großen Gebiet, in dem mehr als hundert Tierarten leben. Auf Phillip Island leben rund 15.000 Einwohner, die während der touristischen Hochsaison stark ansteigen. Es gibt drei Hauptsiedlungen: Cape Woolamai, New Haven und Cowes.

Im Allgemeinen nehmen wir uns Zeit für einen Spaziergang durch die Küstengemeinde Cowes. Diese geschützt an der ruhigen Westernport Bay gelegene Gemeinde wurde nach Cowes auf der Isle of White benannt. Wunderschöne Küstenlandschaft, einzigartige Geschäfte zum Stöbern und viele schöne Restaurants, in denen man Lebensmittel kaufen kann.
Als nächstes erreichen wir die Nobbies Rocks, wo wir Sie auf einen optionalen geführten Spaziergang über die Promenaden mitnehmen, um die felsige Küste zu sehen und in ihren Höhlen nistende Pinguine zu entdecken. Dann fahren wir entlang der Nebenstraßen von Phillip Island durch das Phillip Island Penguin Habitat. This tour was a lot of fun. Our guide Kiwi was entertaining ang knowledgable. He also managed to squeeze in an extra stop for us. The koala conservation site and the nobbies were highlights. The penguins were super cute as expected

Joel was fantastic! Great tour and tour guide. We saw koalas at the reserve and we loved the penguin parade! The penguin parade was worth the ticket alone. There were 3 opportunities to buy food and use the restrooms. Joel is very knowledgeable and very friendly.

Really cool experience! Lauren was the absolute best!! She had the best personality, made sure we had plenty of rest stops, gave us exact detail and instruction as to the time we had for each location and best spotting for the penguins! Lauren wasd 10/10 all around! The experience itself, I recommend doing a tour that just brings you to Philip island for the penguins. We stopped at lunch first, went to koalas and then hit the penguins (left 12am ish) and we saw the penguins from 6-8ish. It was quite a long day. Understandably it is a 2 hour drive but i feel leaving almost 2-3 hours later would make the day feel less long. OVerall though, no regrets it was a wonderful experience, comfy bus with wifi and great tour guide!
