Samuel was a really great guide. My cousin and I went on Circuit 2 at Machu Picchu. We got to see practically everything, and every great viewpoint and be in the city. Wow. Stunning. Samuel was very knowledgeable and helped take photos, pose, capture great views and was open to as many questions as we wanted. It was truly a fascinating experience and once in a lifetime. Oh, and we got to see and pet so many llamas!
We booked the tour through Viator and were extremely well guided by the agency; the guide Samuel, who took us to the location, demonstrated knowledge about the place and made us feel comfortable. I recommend!
Fantastic trip and very good guide
Samuel was amazing! He was very informative and answered all our questions. The weather was hot but breezy and beautiful. There was a bit of waiting around for it turn to head to Machu Pichu since it's timed entry but that was to be expected. Once we got there, Samuel made the experience really feel like once in a lifetime. He took great pictures too! I would highly recommend.
Completely stress free organization start to finish provided by this tour. Pick up and itinerary info was communicated ahead of time, guides met me at every spot (train/bus/entrance) to make sure I was in the right place, which was much appreciated as a solo traveler. Samuel was an excellent tour guide, providing extensive history regarding the Incan civilization and providing endless interesting facts about the site. Was a pleasure hanging out with him for a few hours. My train back to Ollantaytambo was derailed and arrived 5 hours later than scheduled (not any fault of this tour group), but our driver Luis waited for us at 1030pm to make sure we had a ride home. Also remained in consistent contact with me to ensure I knew where to go upon arrival. This was incredibly appreciated. If you don’t want to deal with handling all the tickets and transportation yourself (I don’t know why anyone would, it’s incredibly hectic at Aguas Calientes), this is the way to go. The vistador panoramic train is only worth it if you are needing more photos, I did not find it worth an extra cost though.
We had a great experience at Machu Picchu. Our guide Samuel was perfect, very friendly and easy to communicate with. He provided great details and history of Machu Picchu. He took great pictures for us and made the tour very enjoyable.
It was a fantastic experience to visit Machu Picchu on 4 September 2026 and go around the ancient Inca city. Our guide Samuel was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I and my wife have knee issues and Sam helped us tremendously in enjoying our visit to the fullest possible. Sam is fluent in English and Inca history. We benefited a lot from both.

This was an amazing experience. The communication from the company was very good, and I was sent a detailed itinerary the day before the tour. The day of, you will be picked up at your hotel and driven about 2 hours away to the Inca Rail Train. From there it is a 1.5hr train ride to Aguas Calientes town where you grab another bus for a 25 minute drive up the mountain to Machu Picchu. Once I arrived at Machu Picchu I was met by my guide Samuel who happily greeted me at the entrance. For the next 2+ hours Samuel gave me a very detailed tour and answered all of my question. He was extremely knowledgeable and made it easy for me to learn and enjoy my time on the mountain. After the tour concluded, he continued to follow up with me on my way back to Cusco to make sure that I arrived safely. I greatly enjoyed my experience because of his professionalism and thoroughness. Upon arriving in Cusco the company arranged a taxi home for me to my hotel. The driver Wilson was already waiting for me when I arrived and got me quickly back to the hotel with some enjoyable conversation along the way. If you want to not have to worry about anything and have all of the details handled for you, then I highly recommend you go with Machu Picchu Touring.

We started our adventure on a rainy day convinced we were not going to have any visibility on Machu Picchu but the vibes changed when we met our guide Samuel, he was with us every step of the way and facilitated the entrance which was crowded. You can tell he has a deep knowledge and takes pride of his heritage as he shared meaningful insight during our tour, we didn't want it to end. with the power of positive thinking the clouds finally were gone and he took great photos of us. Samu our guide has a vast knowledge of Incan history and culture. He allowed us to take as many photos as we wanted and took many with both of us in them. We enjoyed spending the day at Macchu Picchu and enjoyed having Samu to explain everything to us.
