Andy and Ash were the crew on our ride and both were fantastic! Andy was a great guide telling jokes that gave a good laugh! Would definitely recommend!
Enjoyable experience travelling along the river. Friendly and helpful staff. The bar was a welcome treat!
Located a short walk along Lendal Bridge (on the Station Road side of the bridge) is City Cruises offering a variety of cruises for visitors including Daytime Sightseeing, Alive After Five, Evening Escape, Fish and Chips and Party Nights Afloat. We opted for the Daytime Sightseeing which was excellent value for money and a great start to our time in York. Tickets can be purchased from operators at the landing - card and cash are taken. The tickets are excellent value for money. Our operators were Scott and Mimi and it was brilliant. The cruise lasts around a hour with the boat going part way up the Ouse before turning and going the other way with interesting and fun commentary throughout. The boat also has a bar for anyone hungry or thirsty as well as toilet facilities. For an amazing way to spend time in York i cannot recommend City Cruises enough.
Andy was our tour guide and he was excellent. He was so funny and made the cruise really enjoyable. Thank you Andy for the great experience
Excellent day good value for money it's an hour staff where very informative
Fun hour on The Cruise on The Ouse. Cptn Andy knows his history and made the hour entertaining with his humorous jokes. The tour was sadly not great to view the city due the the river vegetation but that's understandable. Well done to the crew to keep it entertaining.
Have done a few of these boat trips and each time I learn or see something different. Very relaxing. A nice way to spend an hour. York is one of my favourite places to visit and it is lovely to see it from a different angle.
Scott was the captain, good info as we sailed along. Would recommend
Unfortunately we did expect more, the commentary was very good but there was actually very little to see along the river, I was hoping for more. Personal preference of course, but I feel it was a lot of money for what it was.
Lovely river cruise! Went on a whim with family and enjoyed it so much we would definitely recommend. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the commentary about the local area and history was interesting. Highly recommended!!
