Our family gathered for a reunion in Manila and this trip to Tagaytay made it more memorable. John, our guide, is an excellent communicator. He was clear about what to expect from each stop. I had two siblings that decided to stay with the van but he and the driver created a visit to a stone church. I thought that was an amazing accommodation. The views of Taal were all wonderful, the short hike to the waterfall was beautiful and the boat ride was great too. The lunch stop is not to be missed. The food is wonderful Filipino food that is a comment from an entire Filipino family who cooks Filipino food!!
Our guide Mark was able to inform us about history, geography, food and culture on a day trip that was varied and well paced. We loved it and it was a fabulous way to spend our first day in The Philippines. Our highlight was the market tour, especially the fish markets and the taste of Buko Pie- the history of which was brilliantly told by our guide. When they recommend taking a change of clothes in case of “little splashes” on the boat tour - our recommendation is listen!
This 9 hour tour covers a large distance (up to 3 hours from Manila to reach Taal Island dock) so the visits to the Coconut shop, market and fruit stall were very rushed but there was adequate time at Tagaytay hill to see the view of the islands and look at the souvenir stalls. The driver and guides (Jason & Bella) were very friendly and informative. The powered canoe ride out to Taal island was relaxing even with having to stop for debris to be removed from the prop.
We got to get out of the city of Manilla and got to see some of the countryside living. stopped at a great fruit, stand, and outdoor market and took a boat ride out to see the Taal Volcano. It was a great tour punctuated by a terrific guide name Rona! She was terrific.
We booked noting the good rating but not happy with what we got. Spent idle time waiting for fish food that never arrived. No one 🕜 n the tour wanted to wait but we did for over an hour. Had to visit several places to get to try buka pie as they clearly don't pre order. Ended up with something completely different. That meant missing out on a chocolate taste. The fruit visit is one stand with a small pineapple farm behind. No real time at the local markets. The boat ride was great but as we were placed at the back we had no idea what we were being shown. Lunch was at a rest stop as another member who advised he was vegan could not eat at the seafood restaurant organised. All up a 6 hour tour mostly spent in a van made this a costly and not so great excursion. Would have been better to have hired a driver ourselves and cheaper.
Communication is excellent with the company and the guides. We had Kenji, Kyle, and Mark. All three were super polite, professional, and fun! Kyle drove the van and was very safe and smooth. Kenji and Mark (in training) both were knowledgeable and personable. We had some great laughs! The tour itself is filled with history, beautiful surroundings, and adventure. Book this tour with the excellent guides!
Eddy was an absolutely fantastic tour guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable about everything on the tour as well as able to answer any questions you have about manila. Eddy made the tour both incredibly fun and informative. On the trip to tagaytay we stopped and enjoyed a delicious pineapple pie and then explored a market. We then proceeded to the Peoples Park in the Sky, rode a jeepney and enjoyed some fantastic views of the countryside. The boat tour was nice and relaxing, and then went to lunch at a local restaurant with delicious food. Overall it was an incredible experience with incredible tour guides and drivers.
The boat riding was quite amusing; bring a disposable raincoat, if you don't want to get wet 😆. The market visit and the pineapple plantation were very interesting. The jeepney ride and the scenery at the top of the hill was super cool. The guide Eddy gave the tour a fun touch!
Our tour guide Mark and driver John were very friendly and professional. My partner and I were very lucky that we were the only 2 people on the tour, which made that extra special. The Manila Sightseeing Tour was a great way to explore Manila. As a Filipino that was born in the Philippines and raised in another country, I didn't know much of Philippines' history. Mark's passion and pride for his country clearly shows as his knowledge of Filipino culture and history is outstanding! It made me proud to know more of my home country's history. Thank you Mark and John for an exceptional day. Reynaldo and Brett
Thank you for an amazing day. We enjoyed the flavor of the local markets, coconut pie and beauty of the people’s palace.
