Sydney Whale Watching auf ORCA Small RIB

We took the 2 pm afternoon cruise for whale watching in Sydney. The sea breeze was lovely and the coastal views looked amazing. Honestly, we waited quite a while before we spotted any whales. We didn’t get the famous breaching moment we hoped for. We only caught a quick glimpse of a huge whale tail lifting above the waves before it dived back down. It was a short sighting, but still super exciting. The crew were really nice and kept us updated the whole time. Even though we only saw its tail, this ocean trip was such a fun little adventure. It’s a cool experience in Sydney, though you definitely need a bit of luck.

Great small boat trip, we were able to see whales jumping while staying at a reasonable distance so as not to disturb them. Very professional team.

We saw Dolphins and Humpback Whales! Sea was rough but we still found them, when I say we I spotted both Dolphins and Whales. But if I never Ocean Extreme had 4/5 boats out searching for them so we would have found them. It was 2 days before end of season. So even if it’s near the end of season still book you’re likely to see them. Tour guide was brilliant, knew a lot about Humpback Whales.

Absolutely great experience, many sightings of a female humpback with calf. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. Provided with v warm jacket, which was a godsend. The speed of the boat took a bit of getting used to (I’m 60), but didn’t phase the younger members of the trip at all! In any event the captain was v reassuring. Would love to do it again sometime.

Captain was professional, friendly & very informative. The trip lasted over two hours. We travelled quite a distance, the rib was comfortable & we were given a qualify waterproof jacket to wear. The captain e-mailed photos of our trip to all on board which was a really nice gesture. Well worth the money. Would definitely whale watch again with Oceans Extreme..

Absolutely amazing from start to finish! The crew was super friendly, funny, and clearly knew what they were doing, which made the whole trip feel safe and exciting. The boat ride itself was thrilling — fast, smooth, and gave us incredible views of Sydney’s coastline. Seeing the whales up close was just breathtaking; they came so near that we could truly appreciate their size and beauty. Our family loved every minute of it. We had an amazing whale-watching experience with Ocean Extreme! Emily and her colleague were very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting facts about whale behavior. We were lucky to see whales swimming and even “playing” near the boat. We also got access to the great photos taken by the crew. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who appreciates personal guidance and the thrill of a speedboat adventure!

Was on the ORCA with Cassie and Emily and they were fantastic! So knowledgable and fun. The boat was small and more intimate but quite bumpy (fun for me)! We saw a mother and baby play and followed them for 1.5 hours because the activity was so amazing! Would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting a good whale watch in Sydney!

It was fantastic morning out; - what a way to witness, learn and be in awe of these beautiful creatures. Great guide, super fast boat and an added bonus to see Sydney Harbour from the water. An all-around wonderful experience. Do it.
