Superior Weinprobe in San Gimignano

Outstanding. The guide was a true wine expert, and kept it so much fun. Learned the history, and background of this wine.

We got to taste five wines from San Gimignano. During which they gave a very instructive explanation about the color, taste and grape. You got a reasonably filled glass of each wine and a matching snack. It was a very pleasant experience!

Sommelier was fun, very knowledgeable and taught us so much more than we have learned on other tastings. This really was an unforgettable experience, in beautiful settings. The paired cheeses and meats were also delightful. Book now, you won’t regret.

We had a great time and our hosts were very informative. Don’t know what else to say but Viator wants a minimum of so many words.

we had such a great afternoon with our host and wine expert! he took so much time to explain and ask us questions- he gave us a wonderful learning experience! the cool thing was that he was not trying to sell us wine- they don't even sell wine there! he was trying to help us grow our knowledge and by doing so he enhanced our experience!! Being a Sommelier, as part of a planned wine tourism tour, last 26 April 2024, I participated in the "Top Masterclass" (cost 65 Euros per person) of the "Vernaccia di San Gimignano Wine Experience", whose guided tastings are held in the beautiful location which is the Rocca di Montestaffoli, which I believe is the highest point in San Gimignano. I was welcomed with great courtesy and helpfulness, despite arriving slightly late. I found great professionalism on the part of the two Sommeliers who managed everything, both during the technical tasting of the six wines provided (accompanied by a platter of local cured meats and cheeses, bruschetta with oil, bread, breadsticks, tarallini and cantuccini), and in the illustration of the wine-growing area of San Gimignano and its history, but also in the fun interactive lesson to introduce and distinguish the aromas of the wines of this area (basically the Vernaccia di San Gimignano and the San Gimignano Rosso). A fantastic experience, absolutely to be recommended, perhaps even choosing shorter and less expensive solutions, such as the "Easy Wine Tasting" (30 Euro) or the "Superior Wine Tasting" (40 Euro)! San Gimignano, as well as for the beauty of its medieval and Renaissance places, its towers, its monuments, its museums, also deserves to be known for the winemaking excellence of its territory!

Great fun experience , would highly recommend it. We had the superior experience 5 wines and matching food. Really great sommelier.

Local wines were tested and explained by two knowledgeable hosts at great location short walk from piazza. Learned so much about the wines and the area they are grown. A great evening and stayed for extra glasses.

The experience was perfect and well balanced. Very professional it's OK if you don't know anything or if you know a lot.

The guide was very fast and the tasting was nit 2 hours like descripted it was 5 minutes and we were not able to bux any wine. The wines which were selected were very good.
