We booked this river tour direct with the operator Avon Boating in the Mayflower. The staff were great starting of by telling me my ice cream and dribbled onto my and giving me tissues and offering to dry a seat outside to sit on. With everyones agreement the tour was extended 10 mins to go further up the river where we saw a swan and cygnets. The commentary was engaging and informative without too much detail. would recommend.

A very beautiful boat ride, cool breeze, scenic routes, the swans and ducks came to say hello, the beautiful sprawling properties with massive gardens, just an insight to how "the other half lives"!! Very relaxing & unrushed journey after lunch with friends. We had fun!!

Stratford upon Avon is somewhere I feel everyone should visit and experience. It is part of our history and known across the world for being the birth place and home of the great bard Shakespeare. If you can look beyond the cheesy Shakespeare references the place is a relatively well kept olde English town. There is plenty to do in the daytime and lots of good places to eat. Prices are a little higher all round, which is quite a thing. It is extremely quiet after about 9pm, so if you are looking for a night life this is not really the place for you. However all said and done a fabulous place to spend a day or two.

We had a great time aboard the boat. It was easy to find and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately the QR code for the audio guide sent us to information about Dublin (we were obviously in Stratford upon Avon). Luckily the boat had audio handsets that we used on our journey. These were very interesting and we had a great time.

The river boats were easy to spot, but the Viator name was not visible, causing a little confusion. The lady who checked my phone ticket was very helpful and got us on board with no fuss. Lovely trip in both directions, ie upriver and downriver, with useful printed maps and handheld audio guides. We were lucky with the weather and sat in the prow giving great views of both banks. Excellent excursion all round.
