Stadtrundfahrt durch die kosmopolitische Guatemala-Stadt, während der Tour können Sie die Stadt Guatemala durch wichtige Alleen und Denkmäler kennenlernen, um ihre Geschichte durch die Erklärungen unseres Reiseführers zu verstehen und angenehme Erfahrungen mitzunehmen, wenn Sie besuchen: Avenida Las Américas , Paseo de la Reforma, Civic Center, Historisches Zentrum, Reliefkarte von Guatemala und schließlich Paseo Cayala.

Dieser Platz wurde zusammen mit der deutschen Botschaft in Guatemala und der Gemeinde Guatemala entwickelt. Es hat einen ziemlich großen Raum, der es Ihnen ermöglicht, eine Panoramalandschaft im Süden von Guatemala-Stadt sowie Überreste der historischen Berliner Mauer zu beobachten, die im Jahr 1989 gefallen ist.
Die Avenida Reforma wurde als Symbol für Fortschritt und Moderne konzipiert und war in ihren Anfängen von Villen und neoklassizistischen Gebäuden umgeben, die die Eleganz der guatemaltekischen Elite widerspiegelten. Heute ist es ein Geschäfts- und Handelskorridor mit Hotels, Büros und Restaurants, aber dank der Denkmäler und Grünflächen hat es sich seinen historischen Charakter bewahrt. Es ist auch ein öffentlicher Raum, eine Bühne für Paraden, patriotische Feierlichkeiten und kulturelle Aktivitäten.
Es wurde zwischen 1927 und 1941 auf Initiative von Felipe Yurrita, einem spanischen Einwanderer, erbaut. Das Werk war eine Opfergabe an die Schmerzensmutter, die Schutzpatronin seiner Heimatstadt in Spanien, als Dank dafür, dass sie seine Familie während des Ausbruchs des Vulkans Santa María im Jahr 1902 beschützt hatte.
Das Civic Center von Guatemala ist einer der wichtigsten und repräsentativsten Architekturkomplexe in Guatemala-Stadt, sowohl wegen seines historischen Wertes als auch wegen seiner administrativen und kulturellen Funktion. Aufgrund seiner historischen und künstlerischen Bedeutung gilt es als nationales Kulturerbe.
Es ist ein Ort voller Farben, Düfte und Klänge, wo sich der Alltag der Guatemalteken mit der Neugier der Besucher vermischt. Während des Besuchs auf dem Zentralmarkt kann der Besucher typische guatemaltekische Snacks genießen.
In der Kathedrale können Sie die Gemälde von Pedro Ramírez, Kolonialbilder, die Nachbildung des Schwarzen Christus von Esquipulas, die Jungfrau von Socorro und den Hochaltar sehen.

I had to reach out to Viator to contact the company because the tour company never responded to any of my messages about confirmation or pick-up times. Finally, I was told to be in the lobby between 8:50–9:00am for my driver, Victoria, but she didn’t arrive until 10:00am. She texted at 8:54 saying she was delayed in traffic and followed up with another call about running even more behind due to car issues. The majority of the tour involved driving around while landmarks were pointed out—often while she was texting and driving, which was uncomfortable. The itinerary only listed three official stops, and although she did point out additional locations and we got out four times for photos, it still felt limited for the price. Victoria spoke English and was very knowledgeable about the city, but overall the tour didn’t feel like a good value. For a 5-hour tour, I expected more activity and exploration; I barely even reached 10k steps. By 3:30pm, we were essentially finished, and our final stop at Plaza Cayalá felt more like filler than an intentional part of the tour. Unless you plan on high-end shopping, there isn’t much reason to go, and I wish that had been discussed beforehand. A decent tour, but not one I would recommend at this price point.
