A great walking tour around modern and ancient Rhodes with Alexis, a very informative and knowledgeable guide. Alexis was full of stories and history and made all this info accessible for our 13 and 10 year old. We have done walking tours in quite a few places and this one was one of our best experiences to date. would recommend 👌
A must-do to truly understand Rhodes and its place in the ancient and modern world! What a fantastic way to experience both the medieval Old Town and the vibrant modern Italian period 'New Town.' Even though I’d walked through the Old Town a few times on my own, having a guide completely transformed the experience and brought the history to life. It even kept my teenager engaged - no easy task...! Our guide, Alexis, was fun, charismatic, and so informative that the time just flew by. If you want a deep, well-rounded appreciation of Rhodes across the centuries, this tour is 100% worth it.

Thanks to our guide Alexis for the wonderful tour! Very interesting, catching and engaging way of conveying the multi-faceted and complicated intertwining history of the cultures, epoches, religions and peoples of Rhodes. Makes you see the city with different eyes. Marvellous city. Guide tried to make us comfortable by regularly halting in shadows. Duration of tour was ~2,5h with one stop at an authentic Turkish coffee house (with free tea/coffee) included. Payed 55€ pp. Group consisted ca. of 10 people from different countries. Highly recommended (not included): Also visit the synagogue and Jewish museum of Rhodes - perfect addition to the walking tour (entry 6€ pp, worth it!)...
We had a great walking tour around Rhodes with guide Alexis. The tour was small (only one other couple) and offered great insight into the history of the city. Alexis’s knowledge and love of the city was profound. His honesty about the good times and bad throughout the centuries was appreciated. We were able to see the elements from Old Town and New. He incorporated everything seamlessly. The walking was easy, but he made sure to stop for breaks and shade when possible. We had never been to Rhodes, so this was a great introduction to the city and the incredible culture and history. We chose pick-up/drop-off from our hotel and everything went so smoothly. Our driver was on time and it was very convenient.
Alexis was a great guide and made sure to make the tour enjoyable for us all ranging from our 8 year old to the older people in our group. He quickly learned and used our names and made the tour interactive with questions and things to ponder. He encouraged us to interact as a group too which was a nice touch. The time passed quickly and we all learned a lot as well as seeing lots of the beautiful old town of Rhodes. The children particularly enjoyed the ice cream stop and high fives for good answers! We would thoroughly recommend the tour and Alexis as a guide. Thank you for a wonderful morning!
Extremely interesting for those who want to understand more of the city and its history than the tourist shops. The buildings will give you an overview of architecture and the interventions that occupiers considered necessary to give shape to their power.
The tour was fantastic all around. Our guide, Alexi was a local from Rhodes and had also lived in Athens and Paris. His English was perfect and his knowledge of the complex history of Rhodes was incredible. He took us to the new parts of the city and of course the Old Town of Rhodes and provided insights into all of the different time periods and influences. He answered all questions and really put in a huge effort to make sure everyone was participate in the tour. He never seemed bored or fatigued, which must be difficult doing the same your day after day. It was also 95 degrees and he made sure we all had shade at every stop. He even took us to a coffee shop that has been around since the 14th century. All around a great experience and a great tour.

We did the tour with Alexis and it was great. Initially all the Rhodes history on the new city, with the different reigns and founders. Then moved into the medieval city which is full of interesting history. Walked it completely and had some coffee / teas at local shop. At the end we had some free time at the medieval city.
