Stadtrundfahrt durch Ljubljana

Our guide Barbara was fantastic. She provided us with so much information on Ljubjlana and Slovenia. She had a fantastic sense of humour. The tour was excellent and I would highly recommend it

We spent 3 days with Rok. A Ljubljana walking tour, an extended trip to the Lake Bled area, and a transfer tour to Udine in Italy. Rok is personable and knowledgeable and showed us his beautiful country. My favorite stop was the Lippizaner stud farm to see the stables and watch the horses perform during a show. Magic!

City tour AND lake Bled and lake Bohinj We spent a day and a half with Barbara and it was our most favorite time in Europe. Her passionate style and in depth knowledge of Slovenia showed through. She was flexible and fun / like traveling with a friend - who knew a lot! As it was just the three of us with Barbara we were able to be very custom including a stop along the river in Ljubljana for wine. We were able to swim in Lake Bled and able to extend our tour to private beaches in Bohinj. I cannot recommend this tour and Barbara enough. Amazing and excellent adventure. It really made our trip one we won’t ever forget.

We had a group of 14 people and could not have been happier with our experience with Slovenia Getaway Tours! Barbara Bedenk was a WONDERFUL, highly organized and incredibly informative guide. She was full of historical and cultural information and was also just great fun to be with for a full week of touring the beautiful country of Slovenia. She also planned a four day excursion for part of our group in Hungary. The cost of the trip was reasonable and Barbara and her business partner, Rok provided us complete information and were very communicative.

Slovenia is a beautiful and varied country. Barbara planned a great itinerary - mountains, Adriatic coast, history, waterfalls - the usual tourist things. But then there were the special items - Lippizaner stud farm, cheese making/tasting, beekeeping/honey-tasting, ride to the top of the largest ski jump at the Nordic Center. These added so much to our time.

Slovenia was better than hoped for! Having so many wonderful places to visit within a few miles was extremely beneficial.

We had a perfect day with Barbara! She is the best guide and loves sharing the many beautiful sites of Slovenia! Our time with her was the highlight of our 2 week vacation!

We had a wonderland, informative 3 hour tour of Ljubljana with Barbara. She really brought the city alive for us—Barbara knows so much Slovenian history!! We highly recommend Barbara for a private tour of the city!

My wife and I spent 2 days with Barbara touring. We spent the first day in the Ljubljana town center. We spent 3 hours and got an excellent tour filled with history lessons, architecture and a break at a a local coffee shop. Our second day was a full day on a tour to Lake Bled and the countryside around it. We saw the Lake Bled Castle, got a famous dessert at the local hotel and went to the top of one of the mountains in a cable car. We also drove through many small villages getting a better view of life in the area. She took us to a local restaurant in one of the villages for a late lunch. We had a wonderful 2 days and I would recommend Barbara’s tours to anyone that wants to get a good picture of Slovenia.

Barbara was a friendly, flexible and super-knowledgeable guide. We had a lovely, casual, 3-hour walk around town. She rescheduled my tour after my flight/arrival was delayed. She customized the tour to my interests. For example I booked a separate castle tour, and Barbara deleted that from our tour and added some other sites. I was interested in Ljubljana and Slovenian/regional history and architecture, and she delivered on both counts. Her English is perfect and she has a good sense of humor. Highly recommend a visit to Ljubljana - it's a charming city with an interesting history - and a tour with Barbara.
