Abfahrt ist nach dem Frühstück vom Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. Sie werden nach St. Katharina gebracht und besuchen das St. Katharinenkloster, das älteste Kloster der Christenheit. Es liegt 220 km nordwestlich von Sharm el-Sheikh und liegt zwischen den St. Catherine’s Mounts und dem Moses Mount. Es ist ein orthodoxes griechisches Kloster, das innerhalb seiner beeindruckenden Mauern eine Zitadelle wie keine andere ruht, es ist unglaublich reich an wichtigen religiösen und historischen Strukturen. Zu seinen Schätzen gehört das Museum der Hl. Katharina mit Ikonen, die dem Maler Angelos, einem der berühmtesten Künstler des 15. Jahrhunderts, oder seinen Kollegen zugeschrieben werden, sowie alle sechs Ikonen von Michael Damaskinos, die zu den bekanntesten zählen wichtige Werke der kretischen Schule des 16. Jahrhunderts.
Anschließend geht es zu einer Stadt- und Shoppingtour nach Dahab, der Flower Power City am Roten Meer. In einem lokalen Restaurant essen wir zu Mittag und fahren Sie dann zurück zu Ihrem Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.

Visiting St. Catherine Monastery at the foot of Mt. Sinai was a dream come true. The place has so much history and the views are incredible. Our driver was professional and the guide made the stories come alive. We also stopped in Dahab for shopping and lunch. Long day but unforgettable!

The monastery is like stepping back in time. Over 1,500 years old and so peaceful. Our guide was amazing and explained the history of the Burning Bush and Moses' Well. The drive through the Sinai mountains was beautiful too. Pick up was early at 5:30am but 100% worth it. A must-see in Egypt!

VIP treatment from start to finish. Early pickup, smooth ride, and we arrived before the big crowds. The monastery was way more impressive than I expected. Dahab stop for lunch with sea view was the perfect way to end it.

Everything was perfect hotel pickup on time, comfortable bus, and a very knowledgeable guide. We had about 2 hours at the monastery which was enough to see the church, museum and gardens. Lunch in Dahab by the sea was a nice bonus. Felt safe and well taken care of the whole day.

If you're a history enthusiast visiting primarily for St. Catherine's Monastery, this is definitely not the right tour for you. After giving a very generic introduction, the guide announced some free time and disappeared within 5 minutes. There was no real presence, no sharing of historical details, no storytelling, and not even enough time for us to explore on our own—we had only about an hour free time at the monastery. To the guide: if your knowledge of history is limited or you're not passionate about bringing it to life, the least you could do is give visitors enough time to explore independently, read about the monastery, and appreciate its significance at their own pace. Instead, we were rushed back to the van far too early, in order to spend half an hour shopping in Dahab and another half an hour waiting for lunch to be served. we were back in Sharm El Sheikh shortly after 3:30 p.m., and the guide was the first person to get off the van. I don't know if he had somewhere else he urgently needed to be, but it certainly felt as though the day had been cut short for reasons unrelated to the experience of the tour. For anyone who truly cares about the history of St. Catherine's Monastery, this itinerary is deeply disappointing.

Magical place with an intense atmosphere. Very knowledgeable guide, Sherif, and correct. Unfortunately, the trip was extremely uncomfortable due to a van that was too small to accommodate 13 people. We were in the back seats, four of us, and I had no room for my legs or to sit up straight due to lack of space.

The trip in itself was well organized. Disappointed by the fact the if you are not an orthodox christian you cannot see the relics of Saint Catherine. Other than that the Sinai landscape is a worthy experience in itself. I was put in a big group of russians only, but the guide made the effort to translate for me too. Lunch was ok, found some vegan options for me. Dahab is just a visit to a bunch of shops like you can find in any other egyptian city.
