Overcrowded, the “Moonwalkers” movie was good though. Food is expensive. Either eat before you go, or eat after. Otherwise plan on spending a LOT of money. We didn’t get on the tram though.

This is a must-do in Houston, but it is pricey. Very cool to walk through one of three remaining space shuttles, and the exhibit on the Saturn V rocket and all Apollo missions was very cool. Also, very very cool to actually touch a piece of the moon. There is a ton of information here and I definitely learned a lot. That said, 40 dollars for a basic admission ticket (and two of the three regular tram rides were not running the day I went) is a bit steep. Also, they charge for parking, which seems excessive given that it is their own lot.

We visited as a family - including two young kids. The museum itself is excellent - clearly the subject matter is highly interesting, and the museum has a good selection of interesting exhibits. What lets it down is the sheer volume of visitors meaning everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was far too packed. There was even a queue to get into the shop (not a joke). The tour to Mission Control was sold out (we knew before arriving) so we opted for the tour to the Rocket Park - we queued 30 mins to start the tour, only to finds that when we were dropped off we had to queue another 45 mins to get the bus back to the museum. There were some interesting games for kids inside the museum including an interactive display where kids could colour in a rocket and see it get brought to life on a giant display. However my daughter then got upset on another exhibit where she could colour in a sundial - she made a mistake and wanted to do it again only for the blunt male worker to say to my 5 year old - "only one go per person". There was nobody else waiting so would it really have been too much trouble or cost to give her one more sheet old paper to avoid upsetting a 5 year old?! We ended up leaving early as the experience was just poor given how packed it was. We would definitely return but will pick our day / time to avoid the crowds.

The visit to NASA is very interesting and fun; however, it is very crowded in the summer, and if one takes the tour of the facilities, it is longer than one might think. The center needs to be updated more, as it is almost the same as when I visited it for the first time 35 years ago.

Fun and educational experience! Arrive early to secure tram tour tickets included with general admission. FoodLab offers gluten-free options, but they're pricey-a small pizza was about $30. Plan on spending another $50+ if you want the souvenir photo on your way out.

We stayed 1 night in Houston specifically to visit space centre on our way flying to another destination. Decided to book level 9 as this would be once in a life time. Well worth the money for small group private tour of facility with lots of exclusive access to facilities not on public route (astronauts training centre and pool for example). Tour takes the whole day and includes a ticket for the next day public access. We regretted only staying 1 day as we couldn’t use day 2 as our connecting flight was 10am - there was still a lot to see so if you do level 9 save two days. Car would have been handy - we didn’t realise how far everything was and spent a fortune on Ubers!!!

We are in town for the World Cup and decided to visit the Houston Space Center. HUGE mistake! Maybe the Space Center has more crowds than it can handle due to the World Cup. But whatever the reason it made for a terrible experience. The only tram tour we did was the general admission rocket center tour. The tram takes a short ride to the rocket center (1 building with 1 room) and drops you off. Fine so far - until you get inside the hot building and realize the line is a mile long to get back on the tram to return to the Space Center. Essentially a 40 minute wait in a hot building and all the vending machines were sold out. Trash cans were overflowing. You get to see the Saturn V Rocket, but knowing you were stuck there with no way of leaving made it a terrible experience. The exhibits in the main building were nice and there were other tram tours you could pay extra for. My advice, if you go check to see if there are crowd calendars similar to what Disney has. I’m sure it’s a nice experience if you aren’t standing in long lines and stuck in any one area for long periods of time.

Sadly the tram tours were cancelled due to tropical storm Arthur. didn't get to see Mission Control or the Saturn V rocket !

Wow! So much to do! It is amazing! So many different exhibits, tram rides, film,etc. they even have luggage storage which I needed since I came off a cruise ship, went there, and then caught my flight home! It is worth the trip to go! All employees go out of their easy to please you! I enjoyed it very much! I highly recommend going here!

Dear Viator Support Team, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding our visit to Space Center Houston today. Due to the weather, the majority of the events included in the NASA itinerary were cancelled, including all tram tours for the entire day. We traveled specifically from Dallas for this experience; however, it did not meet our expectations. When we spoke with the authorities on-site, we were repeatedly told to check back every 30 minutes, but no solutions were provided.
