We are sorry to see this review, but we believe it is important to clarify what happened for the benefit of future customers. The booking was made for an MPV for 4 passengers, with a clearly stated maximum luggage capacity of 4 large/medium suitcases and 4 carry-on bags. On the day of travel, the passengers arrived with 7 large suitcases and 3 carry-on bags, significantly exceeding the maximum luggage capacity of the vehicle they had selected and booked. Despite this, the passengers were not left stranded. Our team was in continuous telephone contact with the driver, who remained with the passengers at the pick-up location while a practical solution was being arranged. At the same time, we were also in direct communication with Viator regarding the same luggage issue. As the vehicle could not safely accommodate all of the luggage, an unplanned stop at a hotel in Southampton was arranged as a practical solution to temporarily store part of the excess luggage. This hotel stop was not part of the original booking or itinerary. The driver therefore had to take part of the luggage from Southampton Port to the hotel before continuing with the passengers to Stonehenge. After the Stonehenge visit, the driver had to make an additional detour back to the hotel in Southampton to collect the stored luggage before continuing to the final destination at Southampton Airport. This resulted in additional mileage, additional stops and more than one hour of extra driver time. An additional charge was therefore applied solely for the additional service and driver time required to accommodate luggage that exceeded the capacity of the booked vehicle. We strongly reject the description of our company as “scam artists” and the suggestion that the passengers were left to find their own solution. Our team was actively managing the situation through both the driver on site and Viator. The driver remained with the passengers, an alternative solution was arranged, and the journey was completed despite the luggage significantly exceeding the booked vehicle’s stated capacity. We always encourage customers to check the passenger and luggage capacity carefully when selecting a vehicle, or to contact us in advance if they are unsure whether their luggage will fit.
