The atmosphere is typically peaceful and romantic. Let yourself be lulled by the lapping of the water, a cocktail in hand, while the mountains and lush vegetation parade under the waning sun
The sunset cruise in Luang Prabang allows you to discover the city from another angle. From the Mekong, the view is breathtaking of the mountains and riverside villages. It is a simple but deeply soothing spectacle. It is ideal for enjoying the natural beauty and serenity of this UNESCO World Heritage city.
A moment suspended. The exceptional sunset view of the surrounding fantastic scenery ... while comfortably sipping a delicious cocktail or a cold drink ... and that’s not all: it’s hard to talk about it without saying too much, but I hope you enjoy the end-of-trip surprises as much as they did.
Watch out! Price is more than twice as high on TripAdvisor as on the spot. We paid 68 euros for two people. On site it would have cost only 25 euros. In addition, we had problems entering because the lady on site only accepts paper receipts of payment in cash. The tour is sold online, but the voucher sent by mail is not accepted. We had to discuss for half an hour and wait for the manager to get on board. The trip also started half an hour later than planned. This was communicated to all participants. Only we have not received any information, mail or anything. The ride itself was ok, but not sensational. Prices for drinks on board but very fair.
Well! You can't help the weather, as you know. But we had booked online, and all who read this... not book online. Far too expensive locally by half cheaper. The 2 hour trip was quite nice but really not worth the money. Released a drink for everyone, also quite nice but you don't need it. Prices on the boat really okay. Conclusion : Look locally, there are better trips on the Mekong if you want to experience this. 2 points because it was nice, but not anymore.
The experience was wonderful and shouldn’t be skipped if you’re in Luang Prabang. It was relaxing sitting on the cruise with a cold drink and just enjoying the sunset. The staff were friendly and we had a fun activity whilst onboard. I would recommend to bring a portable handheld fan though as it was hot when the cruise was stationary for a bit for people to enjoy the view. Overall, very much recommended.
This trip was cancelled so not sure why I keep getting notifications. However, we were told that it was cancelled because there weren’t enough passengers. We were disappointed, however we were lucky enough to have a sunset cruise through the accommodation that we booked. The Namkhan was wonderful and had their very own boat and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
This was by far the best looking boat out there.. it is double deck there's snacks in a drink that comes with it and or you can purchase more snacks and drinks if you'd like.. the activities on the boat were fabulous this is 10 times better than the experience I thought I was going to get
No designated meeting point what send the tour opreator and Viator. They weren't looking for us. What they gave as the meeting point doesn't reflect reality. We are regular travelers, but we haven't been like this before. No one was waiting for us at the location. I don't recommend it.The support also only sent what the local tour operator sent.. no matter how much I told them it wasn't appropriate. If I don't contact them the day before, they won't send it either... On the spot is much cheaper !
We paid $35 per person. When we got to the departure location, the company was advertising it for 295,000 Kip ($13.57) per person. I knew there would be a price difference, but triple is a total rip off price gouging. You can go to Sa Sa Sunset Cruise yourself, and not get ripped off. Screw Viator!!! Never will use them again.
