Great memories! 1. Lava Tunnel was impressive but Short - only a glimpse of what exists underneath Iceland. Tour Guide added some decent Info in an entertaining way… still Main Stream activity. 2. snorcheling was great, intense experience facing the depth of the Canyon in crystal clear Glacier water… Marta our Guide did a Great Job introducing Both, technical Equipment plus „How to behave“ as well as the scenery. Well done! The Tour tour itself was scheduled for 6 Hours from which we waited 2x 1h at a Hand over Point. This of course can be improved.
Hi there, thanks so much for the thoughtful review. Glad the Silfra snorkel was the standout, and that both parts of the day worked in their own way. Fair note on the waiting time between activities, that's the trickiest part of any combo day and something we're always trying to tighten. Hope to see you again! Arctic Adventures Team
The water was very cold but manageable. The cave was very cool but short. The guides were very kind and helpful
Hiking underground in the largest lava tunnel in Iceland and dry suit snorkel-flying in the fissure between two continents-what could be better. Just an amazing experience beyond the norm. When they turn off the lights it is total blackness in the tunnel. Not hard hiking but captivating knowing you are surrounded by lava! There is just enough current in the fissure to make you feel you flying rather than snorkeling. If it wasn’t for the cold around your mask and hands you could easily forget. It reminded of tales of sunken Atlantis, huge blocks of stone laid on top of one another to make impenetrable walls on either side with a clear bright channel in between. Although the depth can be more than 90 feet, good luck getting a dry suit below the surface! I tried hard with zero luck. Loved both experiences, highly recommend each one!
Floating between North America and Europe im some of the clearest water in the world is every bit as amazing as it sounds. The guides (specifically Nail) were knowled-eeâble, patient, and did a wonderful job helpine everyone feel comfortable in the cold water. The visibility was unbelievable, and seeing the fissure from the surface felt like floating over another world. I may have accidentally consumed a few complimentary mouthfuls of Silfra water while adjusting my mask, and I can confirm it was very fresh. The aquatic plants, however were an unnecessary garnish but still the best 🥰. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. It was one of the most unique adventures I've ever had and a memory I'I treasure for years.
Lava tunnel tour was great but the guided snorkeling was extraordinary. Our guide, Nail, was exceptional in her kindness demeanor and knowledge. You will do real snorkeling in glacier water and your guide will make your outing safe and enjoyable. I could not praise her enough. It truly is a once in a lifetime experience. You may get a little tired but it will be worth it.
Hi there, thanks for taking the time to write this up. Snorkeling in glacier water at Silfra really is something you don't get many other places, and a guide who keeps it safe and enjoyable is what turns it into a once-in-a-lifetime outing. Sounds like the day worked out exactly the way it should. Arctic Adventures Team
The cave was so cool, our guide was really knowledgeable and having a moment to sit in the darkness without the lights was so trippy but fun. Then going to the silfra fissure snorkeling was amazing, the water is so clear, and having hot cocoa with marshmallows after hit the spot!
We felt this was a great value with Reykjavík pickups for both legs. Thor was a great driver and guide to the lava tunnel and Juan was a terrific guide for the lava tunnel. Then Hodei drove us to and from Silfra and was wonderful as well. Francesca was our guide for the snorkel and was amazing. Everyone was super accommodating and helpful and made this an easy and enjoyable experience for us. Review all of the info and materials and you will know exactly what to expect. Yes, cold, damp, etc. — you are snorkeling in 2-4C water in a dry suit — this is to be expected. Francesca and Hodei did a great job checking our seals and fits for our gear so that we were all set once we got into the water. A singular experience we really enjoyed. Thank you Thor, Juan, Hodei, and Francesca! All of you provided excellent service and attention to us and were very friendly and helpful. Great experience.
Benjamin was our guide in the cavern. He was very knowledgeable and personable, and kind of funny! We started off with the Safety video and got our helmet and went on our way. The tombs are absolutely amazing! It was very enjoyable, and I would absolutely recommend this tour! The second part of our excursion was the snorkeling! Our guide was Nail(Argentina). She was very knowledgeable and explained the dive and the equipment to us very clearly. We walked down to the water and had our second dive review. When we were in the water, Argentina took photos of all of us that will be accessible to us later on online. The water at the dive site was crystal clear! I did have some challenges with the dry suit, however, overall is a fantastic experience. I would absolutely recommend this dive to anyone visiting Iceland! Hopefully you’d have the same dive guideI did Argentina!!
Amazing experience with great tour guides, definitely worth the money. Ben was amazing showing us the lava tunnels and Guillaume made the Snorkelling such a fun experience. I would definitely do it again and couldn't recommend it enough!

Our day started with the Lava tunnels this was a great experience especially after seeing the Lava Show the night before. Our tour guide into the tunnels was very informative. The later portion of our day was snorkeling at the silfra fissure which in January has its challenges like frozen suits which are hard to put on and freezing while you wait to get into the water but the views while snorkeling will worth it! Our bus driver for the day was so informative with Iceland's history we enjoyed hearing everything about the land, culture and people.
