Imjingak, ein Symbol des koreanischen Wiedervereinigungswunsches, ist ein einzigartiger Freizeitpark mit Fahrgeschäften entlang von Stacheldrahtzäunen. Es beherbergt historische Relikte wie die Freiheitsbrücke, die von 13.000 Kriegsgefangenen für die Freiheit genutzt wurde, und einen Dampflokomotivrauchkamin aus dem Koreakrieg, der seit 55 Jahren verlassen ist.
Die Brücke am Fluss Imjingang, die 1953 während des Koreakrieges von 13.000 Kriegsgefangenen überquert wurde, symbolisiert ihre „Rückkehr in die Freiheit“.

Inlevende quite a bit today about the Korean War and the situation concerning North Korea. The story and talk we had with the lady that escaped from NK was very interesting. The visit to the DMZ and the tunnel was a special experience indeed. Our tour guide Han was very informative and made sure he kept a timely tour. Much appreciated .

We appreciated our guide Han Solo who was informative and organised. However the company itself advertised a visit to a local village. This was incorrect we stopped at a souvenir shop and restaurant but there was no visit to the village.

Interesting experience seeing the North Korean from the DMZ zone. You can even have a coffee and watch it sitting almost as in a cinema. The tour was with Ron Han, who shared a lot of facts about the Korean war and even translated the interview with a Korean defector. I really recommend this tour to anyone visiting South Korea.

This was my first trip to South Korea and seeing the DMZ was at the top of my list of things to do. I booked the tour at my hostel, and the morning of, I was picked up right outside the front door. The guide was Han, AKA Han Solo, and it was clear he was knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about the history and issues and loved telling tourists about it. I would highly recommend this tour and Han in particular!!
