Die Sierra Nevada ist ein felsiges Massiv, das eine klar abgegrenzte geografische Einheit bildet. Es liegt im Südosten der Stadt Granada und erstreckt sich entlang des westlichen Endes von Almeria. Es bietet einen scharfen Kontrast zwischen dem weichen Relief von Hügeln und anderen raueren Gebieten. Die höchsten Gipfel der Halbinsel befinden sich in diesem Reservat: Mulhacen (3.482 m) und Veleta (3.392 m). We had a great time. Our tour guide Michael was the best. Very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. We were able to customize our experience to our liking. Would highly recommend to others.
One day trip to the Alpujarras. Very well organized. The guide, DANTE, very pleasant and friendly. Very timely scheduled visits and stops. The tasting of typical products is very good. The restaurant where we ate was also very good, although the menu could be improved. In short, outstanding for GRANAVISION and for the guide: DANTE. Both are totally recommended.

<p>Having been unable to get tickets for the Alhambra we decided we would like to get out of the city and head for the hills! This was an excellent trip up to Sierra Nevada which still had some snow on the tops. The ski season is finished so the area was very quiet. OUr guides were excellent and very knowledgeable about the area and its history. Not a full day but we were back in time for a siesta and then to see some more of Granada.</p>
<p>If you want to see the Sierra Nevada mountains this was a very enjoyable way to experience it. Michael our tour guide was terrific, the views were spectacular and it was nice to have the flexibility of being on a private tour. When we showed up to meet Michael he was already there and the vehicle you provided was very comfortable. It truly was a memorable tour.</p>

A nice drive up into the mountains, but the main 'destination' to explore when we left the vehicle was a closed ski resort. The alternative 'mountain' excursion from Granada, to Las Alpujarras, may have more interesting stop-offs with picturesque villages to explore?
