Olgu was the best tour guide I have ever been blessed with. I'm a seasoned solo traveler. I've visited many countries, and hundreds of traditions. I rarely write reviews. I've been in Türkiye for newly 4 weeks. After the first few days of Istanbul I flew to Izmir to meet my guide for my private tour of the 7 Churches of the Revelations. I was slightly nervous about the agency. There was no deposit, no reference number to fall back on, no security. To just pay when you get there. I think I might have sent a few dozen emails before I arrived. Everything from what are the hotels to times to names to drivers. Their office was prompt and precise on every email. When Olgu picked me up we had a laugh. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and kind to what I wanted to do. At one point I had no interest of the itinerary, and so we walked and discovered. Your choice of journey is up to you, how you wish to see your country, like and history. While I did take the tour for biblical reasons, I also wanted to head of the Turkish philosophy and history. Olgu can give you either. Strict to the Bible or mix it up. He is extremely knowledgeable, on both accords. I cannot give a high enough rating for both him and his agency.

My sister and I found the 7 churches tour with Selim (and Nuri the driver) amazing (even in the torrential rain)! Selim is incredibly knowledgeable about the churches and the local history as well. If you are a history buff (both Christian or not) this is a great tour to take. Ask for for Selim (and insist on Nuri as your driver!).

My experience with my tour guide Olgu was very good. He is a guide that is open for questions, and explain clearly. He knows his stuff. He is carring person, and was very attentive to us . I have learn at lot from him about the history of the 7 churches. The Driver was a very casing man. He drives very well and safe, and was kind to us. I recommend this tour, the driver and our guide Olgu to everyone.

After much research I decided on Curio Travel as the provider of our fellowship trip. It was a customized private 10-day tour with our six other friends. Fevzi gave us the flexibility we wanted in visiting the places on our bucket list. Cengiz Ildir was our assigned guide who was knowledgeable, caring and kind with a good command of the English language. His daily recommended lunch restaurants were outstanding - not tourist traps that jack up prices for mediocre meals. The hotel accommodations were topnotch, great for unwinding at the end of each day. Overall, we were very pleased with Curio Travel. We would highly recommend it.

He also went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, offering local tips, helping with photos, and even teaching us a few Turkish words along the way. Thanks to him, I left Türkiye with not only great memories but also a deeper appreciation for its beauty and heritage. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Türkiye — especially if you have the chance to go with a guide as exceptional as ours. Truly a five-star experience!

I recently took the Seven Churches of Revelation tour in Turkey with Curio Travels, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences of my life. The highlight of the tour was my guide, Yavuz. He was incredibly knowledgeable, spoke perfect English, and had such a kind and professional presence. He made the ancient sites come alive and always made sure I felt comfortable. Our driver, Ibo, was also fantastic—safe, respectful, and very accommodating. The car was clean and comfortable, and they brought me to amazing local restaurants and shops, always giving time to explore. The payment process was super easy, with no pressure—I paid the remainder at the end, in cash or by card. From start to finish, this was a dream trip. This is one of the few tours which I truly enjoy and rate very highly. The 5 🌟 rating is just for the tour only and I will provide a separate review of the accommodation and dinner provided below. The Tour: This tour is amazing. The Tour guide, Yavuz Morgül, was fantastic. We booked this tour as a group but found out that it was not as popular as I thought. In the end, it was just me and my wife, our very own private tour! Transportaion was great. A Mecedes Benz 8 seater MPV. Plenty of room and legspace. As a Christian, I appreciated Yaviz's quoting from the relevant verses from the Book of Revelation and bring the letters from John to life. He provided insights of what life was like for 1st century Christians and the persecutions they faced. Every city as mentioned in Revelation came alive and the letters became real instead. As lunch was not provided in the tour, Yavuz recommended very nice restaurants, which served delicious local food. My wife and I truly enjoyed the meals a lot. I highly recommend Yavuz. Ask the tour agency for him. Hotel Accommodation: We stayed in the following hotels and this is my review: Kaya Prestige: 3 🌟 The corridor was dark and the lifts are very busy once the tour groups arrive at the same time. Dinner buffet was left much to be desired. We even skipped dinner on the second night to eat elsewhere. Pam Thermal Hotel: 4 🌟 Nice 90s style resort with mud pool, which was great! Decent massage provided by Indonesian ladies. You could even have the thermal spring water in your bathtub as well. Dinner buffet was better than Kaya Prestige. However, there was no where else to go for dinner. Efe Boutique Hotel: 5 🌟 The rooms were clean and it was next to the sea. Dinner was a set menu, which had an international selection. I was kebabed out. So, this was a refreshing change. Of all the dinners provided, this was the best. All in all, I highly recommend this tour.

Yavuz was our private guide for a private family tour. We had requested a guide with biblical knowledge and he did NOT dissapoint! Yavuz was very knowledgeable and his English was great! We spent our long bus rides reading and dissecting the church letters and felt prepared by the time we arrived to each location. We would highly recommend Yavuz and the Curio Travel Team to plan exactly what your family wants. They customized our trip and even made some same day changes when we requested to see a different church. Thank you for a wonderful three days!
