Reiseverlauf

We saw many different things on the way to Sibiu that we didn’t expect. So it was most surprising and very interesting. Our guide Florin stopped first at an underground church, then to an artisanal carpet maker like in the old days and to a very old church and monastery from the 12 century. After that we went to Sibiu where he described the old city. It was a great experience overall.
Thank you!
Private tour with Florin who was an excellent guide and good driver and very knowledgeable and friendly. Would certainly recommend this tour
We spent the entire day with Florin, driving from Braşov to Sibiu and stopping at several other historical sites on the way, about 10 hours. The drive and the sites that we visited were extremely interesting and UNIQUE, absolutely magnificent!! The tour was very well organized, provided with very interesting and informative commentary. Florin is an exceptional guide and driver, kind, patient, polite, very alert and he was very punctual! It was an absolute pleasure spending the time with him!!!! Very grateful for the opportunity to visit with him!!!
Thank you!
The Orthodox Church was very beautiful, and the other sites were interesting. Our guide did a great job of telling us about the sites and about The history of the area.
Our driver, Florian was prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. Plus, he was super flexible. He agreed to alter our plans for the day to add an extra side trip! We did pay a little extra but it was a good decision. His English was excellent and he was a good teacher. All-in-all a very good day.
Good off the beaten path tour. Countryside and scenic beauty were most enjoyable. Our guide, Florin, was excellent! It was a great day.
Thank you!
Florin is a knowledgeable guide and an excellent driver. We loved the itinerary that included Monastery/Early Christians underground church, Fagaras Citadel and the Cistercian Abbey on the way to Sibiu.
Thank you Svetlana, for me was a pleasure to guide you too!
This was my second tour with Florin, who was very flexible with our time schedule since we had to be back by 4pm. This tour is great for getting to and from a few of the main tourist attractions while visiting Brasov. I mention this in my other review for Transfăgărășan tour with Florin, but what is missing is the 20 minute tour pitch about the history and background of the area while driving to the spots on the tour. If we didn't ask any questions, then we would not have learned much about where we were going and visiting. You had to have questions ready. Or else the car ride was long and silent.
I was looking to go out on my own, but an ad suggested this tour and it was awesome! Got to experince the countryside of Transylvania and learn about its history. Went to some areas you wouldn’t find as a tourist. Duration was very flexible as it depends on how long you want to spend in those areas, and also gives you the chance to do other things you may find along the way. 100% recommend!
My wife & I really enjoyed the day trip to Sibiu with Florin. He was punctual, courteous, very pleasant & most importantly a very safe driver. He was also kind enough to make a few stops on the way, just so that we could take a couple of photos of the beautiful Mountain scenery & gorgeous landscapes. Florin also took us to a lovely Monastery/Church on the way to Sibiu. Very peaceful & tranquil & well maintained. Worth visiting. We also visited a local Romanian house, which had a giant water wheel, apparently the only remaining one from that era & that too in working condition. The owner was very charming & nice. The house also had a very interesting functional mini flour mill set up with various kinds of grains on display, along with various equipment & tools used by the family's previous generations. Sibiu was a lovely little town, very lively, since it was the weekend. We happened to be there on the day when there was a local marathon being organised. Lovely to see families having a good time & enjoying themselves, especially the children. We also enjoyed exploring the hidden streets, back alleys, the public park & especially the local food market, which had numerous stalls selling various kinds of locally grown produce & home made food items. I did end up buying couple of jars of delicious Romanian honey for friends & family. I highly recommend everyone should definitely try the local honey & the sheep cheese. Overall a great experience & worthwhile day trip to Sibiu & most importantly we were extremely pleased to have Florin as our guide. Hope my fellow TAs & their families get an opportunity to experience the true beauty of Romania, especially the town of Brasov & the nearby locations & the fairytale Romanian villages like Magura, etc.
Thank you very much, for me was a pleasure too!
