The pricing for this tour does not align with the value received. The final destination was the lake, which, despite favorable weather conditions, did not meet expectations. I would have preferred to allocate more time to exploring the charming town. I recommend considering a car rental for future excursions.
Nice half day around the Denver area. Red Rocks is beautiful. Got in a small amount of hiking as well at Echo Lake.
Seeing the Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre was really cool. I wish I would have seen a concert there. Echo lake was beautiful as well as the scenery when we drove around. Evergreen was a cute little mountain town. I wish that the guide told us more history and things to do in Denver.
I had a great day with Colorado Sightseer on the Red Rocks, Echo Lake, and Evergreen tour, although we went to Idaho Springs instead of Evergreen. Idaho Springs is a quaint mountain town, and I happened to walk into the Underhill Museum which was a great little gem. It was easy to meet up with the tour guide under the flagpole at Union Station. I liked being taken to beautiful and interesting places without having to worry about planning the route or navigating. We didn't travel in comfort though; it didn't feel like the van was air conditioned. The guide did not want to turn the fan past "3" for fear of overheating the engine. It didn't feel cool in the van the entire trip. We made several additional memorable stops along the way: Juniper Pass in the Arapaho National Forest, which was an easy walk to mind-blowing views, and Clear Creek Canyon Park. Colorado Sightseer is a "small, family-owned business," so I assumed that the tour guide was the owner and his wife handles the reservations. It wasn't until the end of the tour that I realized that the guide was an employee of the couple who own the business and not the owner. At each stop we had free time to explore. The scenery throughout the tour was spectacular, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy the Colorado landscape. Colorado Sightseer provided an enjoyable and memorable way to experience the area. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Colorado who wants to effortlessly see a lot of beautiful places in one trip!
Great half day tour of Red Rocks, Evergreen, Echo Lake and Juniper Pass. Alex, our guide, provided tons of trivia, history and background of Colorado and sights. Perfect for our schedule and such a scenic tour!
Alex is basically a walking vault of Colorado history and random facts! So glad this half-day loop hit all the right scenic notes for you. Appreciate you sharing the love!
Excellent Tour and an Outstanding Guide We had a fantastic experience with Colorado Sightseer on the Red Rocks, Evergreen and Echo Lake tour. Our guide, Anne, was passionate, extremely knowledgeable and an excellent storyteller. She made the history, geology and scenery of Colorado come alive throughout the day. Our visit to Red Rocks Amphitheatre was a highlight. Anne gave us a fascinating explanation of the incredible rock formations and the history of this world-famous concert venue. Her knowledge and enthusiasm really added to the experience. Our stop in Evergreen turned out to be something very special. We were incredibly fortunate to encounter a herd of more than 50 elk right in the middle of town! Seeing such a large herd so close was spectacular and completely unexpected. Anne gave us a wonderful explanation of the elk and the area, and we had plenty of time to watch them and take lots of pictures. It was one of those unforgettable experiences that you simply can’t plan for on a tour. We then continued higher into the mountains to Echo Lake, where we took a short hike and Anne gave us more history and information about the area. The scenery was spectacular, and it was fascinating to see how dramatically the landscape changed as we climbed higher into the mountains. The entire tour was informative, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. Anne didn’t just show us the sights — she brought Colorado to life with her knowledge and passion. I highly recommend Colorado Sightseer, and especially Anne as a guide. If you’re visiting Denver, this is a wonderful way to experience Red Rocks, the mountain communities, spectacular scenery and, if you’re lucky, some incredible Colorado wildlife.
Running into a herd of 50 elk right in the middle of town is pure Colorado magic—the kind of spontaneous moment you just can't stage! Anne is a master at adjusting on the fly so guests get to soak in those unexpected highlights without missing a beat. We're so glad you got to experience everything from the geology at Red Rocks to that alpine hike at Echo Lake. Thanks for capturing the day so vividly!
Mrs. Anne was pardon my French OUTF!!!!STANDING and I had an AWESOME TIME learning about The Red Rock Amphitheater and Evergreen with its rich history and Echo Lake as well. Even before Evergreen we saw a whole family of elks just out grazing, it was the really big elk with those big antlers and then the momma elk talking with her young ones to cross the road and then what Mrs. Anne says the teenagers of the elks and then there was the babie elks out there as well. It had to be at least 35 to 40 of them and that was truly a sight to see. I’m very glad that I booked this tour with Mrs. Anne and I do plan on coming back with my wife Tia and our kids. Thanks again for an amazing day Mrs. Anne⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Now that is what we call a 5-star mountain day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A herd of 40 elk, Red Rocks history, Echo Lake views, and Mrs. Anne guiding the way—it truly doesn't get better than that. Huge thanks for the shoutout, and we can't wait to host you, Tia, and the family on your next trip out!
We recently took another guided tour with Colorado Sightseer, and once again, this tour exceeded every expectation! Having toured before, we already had high hopes, and Anne managed to make this experience feel fresh, engaging, and personal. Anne’s depth of knowledge, passion for the history, and natural ability to connect with our group make her stand out as an exceptional guide. She brings history and local culture to life with such vivid storytelling that you feel completely immersed from start to finish. On our travels we spotted an Elk and Anne didn't want us to miss the opportunity to really see him so she turned around, and we were met with an amazing of a herd of 30-50? Elk.. a truly amazing sight that we could've missed had it not been for Anne's quick thinking to turn around! If you are considering booking a tour, you will not be disappointed! We would certainly come back for a third time!
Spotted one elk, pulled a quick turnaround, and landed right in front of a herd of 50?! That is pure mountain magic right there. Anne’s instincts behind the wheel and her deep passion for local history make her such a treasure. Thank you for sharing that amazing story, and we can't wait to host you on your third adventure!
First time ever doing a tour like this and it couldn't have gone better. The meet up spot was easy, our guide Khem was so friendly and very informative, the stops left you with enough time to get a real feel for the spot. Fantastic way to take in the sights, would definitely use again!
First tour in the books! Khem is a legend, and knowing the pacing felt just right makes our day. Thanks for taking a chance on us—we’ll have a seat ready for you on the next one!
Good tour, not great. It felt a little rushed. There was one good viewpoint that we stopped at on the way to the primary destinations, that was probably the best spot. Our tour guide was great during the drive, but the headset doesn’t work great and we couldn’t hear half of it in the back of the van. At the stops he helped take some photos, but otherwise we were mostly on our own to explore for 20-30min at each stop
Thanks for being straight with us. Fitting Echo Lake—which sits an hour out from Denver—along with Red Rocks and Evergreen into just 5 hours is definitely a sprint! We design those stops as quick snapshot visits so guests get free time to roam, but hearing the guide's stories shouldn't be a challenge. We're taking the van in to check the rear speakers and headsets so future guests get crisp audio all the way through.
