Der Jogyesa-Buddhistische Tempel ist eines der wichtigsten Wahrzeichen des Koreanischen Buddhismus, der 1935 gegründet wurde. Der Tempel befindet sich in der Innenstadt von Seoul und wird von einer alten weißen Kiefer geziert. Es gibt ein paar wichtige Schritte, um den Tempel zu betreten. Zuerst müsst ihr durch „Iljum“ gehen, das ist das Einsäulentor. Das „Iljumun“ symbolisiert die Trennung zwischen der Welt der Lebenden und der der heiligen Buddha-Welt. Sie werden eine schöne spirituelle Erfahrung machen und die herrlichen, goldenen Statuen bewundern können.
Wechsel der Gardezeremonie – erleben Sie eine spektakuläre Koreanische Tradition Sie werden die akribisch choreografierte Zeremonie vor dem Gwanghwamun-Tor sehen. Diese Tradition entstand während der Joseon-Dynastie und die Stadt beschloss, sie 1996 wieder zur Aufführung zu bringen. Die Soldaten tragen bunte blaue und rote Uniformen und patrouillieren anmutig die Tore des Palastes zum Schutz des Königs. Die Tradition ist sehr elegant und einfach schön anzusehen! Gyeongbok Palace (außer dienstags) – leben wie ein König Als nächstes auf unserer Seoul City Tour ist Gyeongbokgung Palace. 1395 wurde hier die Hauptwohnung der Joseon-Dynastie errichtet. Dies ist ein atemberaubendes Gebäude mit 7.700 Zimmern! Der Palast hat im Laufe der Jahre ein paar Treffer eingesteckt, was ihn heute umso interessanter macht! Einige der Höhepunkte hier sind Gangnyeongjeon, das Hauptquartier des Königs, Geunjeongjeon, wo der König offizielle Besuche akzeptierte, Gyeonghoeru – der besondere Bankettsaal und vieles mehr!
Das National Palace Museum of Korea wurde 1908 zunächst als Koreanisches Kaiserliches Museum gegründet, im Laufe seiner Geschichte jedoch mehrfach umbenannt und verlegt. Heute beherbergt das Museum etwa 45.000 Artefakte und königliche Schätze aus Palästen der Joseon-Dynastie und dem Koreanischen Reich. Außerdem finden Sie hier 14 der Nationalschätze Südkoreas. Mit 500 Jahren Geschichte können Sie ein echtes Gefühl für die Vergangenheit bekommen und entdecken, wie es war, als Joseon König und Königin zu leben.

Our guide (Alice) was amazing, and she showed us some interesting sites. I really loved the changing of the guard ceremony, the palace grounds, and the ginseng museum (bring your wallet if you want to buy premium quality ginseng products). The driver was also great, because he had to deal with crazy traffic and street closures due to a protest going on that day. We did the half day tour, but there were others who did the full day tour, so we did not return to our meeting point.
