We loved our tour with Sissi! She was warm, friendly and so knowledgeable. She kept our teen travelers engaged the entire time and was so attentive to the whole group. The small six person group made it so easy to keep together and navigate through the dense crowds while also being able to ask questions and learn from Sissi. The early entry was key because really was hot by the time we ended at 11am. I highly recommend Sissi and this tour. Perfect guide, group size, and length of tour.

I have been on many tours and I think Donata might be the best tour guide I’ve had yet. Our group of 6 thought she was terrific. We had a wonderful experience at the Colosseum and Roman Forum. In addition, Liv Tours as a company is great. Their website is very good. The meeting place was easy to get to and the directions given were very clear.

We had a great tour with Livia. She was very knowledgeable and you could tell she really loved giving the tour. We were in a small group, which was much easier with navigating the crowds. She was able to shuffle us through security easy as well. It was a nice length of visit, including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine hill. We started early to beat the June heat. Although we were a couple, we were in a group with another couple who had 3 children. Livia was able to make the tour enjoyable for all of us. The only thing I’d add is that the meeting point is pretty confusing - they do write in the description to meet on the top floor of the metro, but if you don’t know the area, you would not assume that the top floor is where it is. Others in the tour were also confused about the meeting point. Would highly recommend this tour!

We booked the First Entry Semi-Private tour, but it ended up just being us and our guide, Max. Getting a completely private experience for the semi-private price was an incredible stroke of luck, and it made our morning unforgettable. Being among the very first to enter the Colosseum at 8:30 AM is already a game-changer for beating the heat and the crowds, but having Max all to ourselves made walking out onto the restricted Arena Floor feel like a true VIP experience. Max was absolutely incredible. Because he has a degree in archaeology, his deep knowledge brought the history and excavations of the Colosseum and Roman Forum to life. He explained the background, context, and secrets of the ruins with so much passion and clarity, making it absolutely fascinating. Max coordinated the entire 3 hours at the perfect pace. We never felt rushed, yet we covered an immense amount of history, from the Arena floor to the Senate house and Palatine Hill. On top of being a wealth of information, he knew all the absolute best, crowd-free photo spots to capture the perfect shots in the morning light.
