Hier beginnt unsere Tour. Sie werden die Geschichte des Laderaums und seiner Geister hören. Ursprünglich im Jahr 1716 erbaut, ist dies das älteste erhaltene Holzgebäude in St. Augustine und hat seine Geschichte hinter sich. Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte waren seine Mauern die Kaserne für britische Soldaten, eine Schule für die Jugend und die Heimat von Juan Genopoly, einem Anführer der Menorquiner. Und ihre Geister haben beschlossen, hier zu bleiben. Wir gehen nicht nach innen, nur nach außen erzählen wir unsere Geschichte.
Die alten Stadttore von St. Augustine wurden 1808 als Ersatz für die verfallende Holzkonstruktion errichtet. Sie sind 3 Stockwerke hoch und eine beliebte Touristenattraktion. Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte haben die alten Tore die Bewohner der Stadt vor Invasionen bewahrt. Und die lokale Legende besagt, dass sie von der Seele der 10-jährigen Elizabeth heimgesucht werden.
Im Jahr 1821, als das Gelbfieber St. Augustine heimsuchte, tötete es über 400 seiner Bewohner. Das war damals mehr als ein Drittel der Bevölkerung. In aller Eile begrub die lokale Regierung die verwesenden Leichen der Hugenotten in einem Massengrab. Sie werden die Geschichte des verwunschenen Begräbnisplatzes und der Geister hören, die jetzt auf seinem Gelände lauern.
Potter's Wax Museum war das erste Wachsfigurenkabinett in Amerika, das 1948 gegründet wurde und über 160 gruselige Wachsskulpturen beherbergt. Viele Charaktere sind längst vergangen. Das Holzgebäude, in dem es untergebracht ist, wurde 1739 erbaut und 1887 an diesen Ort verlegt. Bevor es ein Wachsfigurenkabinett war, war es eine Apotheke und gilt als die älteste Apotheke der USA. Und es wird verfolgt!
Der Tolomato-Friedhof ist die älteste Begräbnisstätte in Florida aus dem 18. Jahrhundert und ist heute die letzte Ruhestätte für Bischöfe, Sklaven, Morde und über 1000 Leichen, die in seinem Boden interniert wurden. Sie werden die Geschichte des Jungen hören, der das Gelände heimsucht und seinen Grabstein sehen. Zu beachten ist, dass wir nicht auf den Friedhof gehen, wir sind nur am Tor.
In den 1700er Jahren beherbergte dieser Ort das spanische Schießpulver- und Munitionslager. Im Laufe der Jahre war das Gebäude eine Pension, ein Lebensmittelgeschäft und seit kurzem ein charmantes Bed & Breakfast, das von den süßesten Geistern heimgesucht wird. Heute wird es von den süßesten Spirituosen heimgesucht. Sie sterben darauf, dich zu treffen!
Im Jahr 1870 wurde dieses Gebäude von einem Mr. George Colee für Marion gebaut, seine Verlobte, mit der er für die Ewigkeit zusammenleben wollte. Sie erfahren mehr über Mr. Colee und wo er jetzt geistert.
Angeblich von den gemeinsten alten Damen heimgesucht, wird dieser Geist mit Sicherheit jeden erschrecken, der vorbeigeht.
Dieser malerische Ort soll von den Geistern seiner Vergangenheit heimgesucht werden.
Einst ein Zufluchtsort für Rumläufer, wird dieser Ort heute von seinem alten Besitzer heimgesucht. Und es ist bekannt, dass ihr Laternenschwenker von Zeit zu Zeit auftaucht. Sie werden ihre Geschichte und die Geister hören, die diesen Laden heimsuchen.

Information was very limited as what you get with an actual tour guide group. While taking this tour we would run into the tour guided group and their information was more detailed and informative
Hi! Thanks for using the WalknTours app! The tour is about one hour, and provides stories at spots and as you walk. You can go at your own pace, anytime, on your terms, unliked guided tours making it popular for solo travelers, families and those that don't like the restrictions of group tours. If you are looking for that standard guided tour stop of 10 to 15 minute stops with long stories, you won't get that here :). These are meant to be fun, informative and well paced by design. The whole tour is about an hour plus if you do not stop and you'll see many sites in town that many people miss. My family and I did this while put for a belated birthday celebration. We loved being able to go at our own pace, and being able to have a guided walk through some streets that we, somehow, hadn't been despite having gone to St. Augustine multiple times. There was a bit of confusion while we were walking around, though we quickly figured it out. When referencing the Carriage House inn, there are 2 buildings. The first one was on the right, but as we continued down, we realized the stories were a reference to the second Carriage house a bit further down the street and was on the left. Second, the Prince of Wales pub has been permanently closed, and is now ReChic Treasures. Despite those two bits of confusion, my parents and I throughly enjoyed the tour. Also, if doing this at night for a "proper" ghost tour, the Scarlett O'Hara is LOUD. My Mom had difficulty hearing the audio, so we had to go back through that audio after getting the photos we wanted and walking away.

Really fun activity to do! By yourself or with friends! Travel on your on speed is one of my favorites about this! The app was pretty easy to use! Only reason I rated it 4 starts and not 5 because I wish some of the stories were a little longer. But overall I recommend for anyone needing something to do on your own time!
We learned a lot of history of St. Augustine as well as some good ghost tales. The walk is nice and you can go at your own pace.

The tour was fun, Nice to do at your own pace. The only issue was the fact that you get lost and turned around Way too easily. With that being said once you come across another area you wernt looking for the tour changes and starts talking about that location instead of the one you were headed to. So things got a tad confusing, but overall it was a nice tour just gotta pay attention better to certain streets really closely!
Great self-guided tour. After our guided ghost was canceled on us, we were bummed. Then we found this tour and enjoyed doing it at our own pace. So glad are original tour got canceled
I like how he the tour guide felt like he was really with us walking around. I also liked how he said to look up and see a ghost in the window and it was a mannequin. I like the story about the boy named James
