I booked it for one hour, but I would recommend booking two hours if the weather is nice. The location is easy to reach, and the team is very helpful.

I had not been on a boat since i was really young (maybe 5/6 years old), so I was slightly nervous about being on the water alone. But once id arrived Ignacio explained everything really clearly which instantly eliminated any stress I had. The boat is super easy to drive and there's plenty of space on the lake to drive around and enjoy yourself pretty freely. Was a beautiful experience which I'm glad I booked, and would definitely do it again! Thank you to Ignacio for making me feel comfortable and being clear with all the important info.

First and foremost, they charge an additional €25 per hour of booking at the end, it’s stated in the terms and conditions. Once you’ve gotten past that, the experience is great and pretty reasonable considering your other choice is to pay way more for other boats or queue 2 to 3 hours for a ferry ticket. Rented for 2 hours and we managed to get all the way to Nesso, admired the view, and turned back to enjoy a wonderful trip back down to Como. It’s definitely more worth it in a group of 4 or so, but it’s really straightforward and they speak English! Be sure to come a bit early!

Fun activity for groups of friends but less for couples or if you want to see larger parts of lake Como. Expensive for what it is just for two persons, especially with public transport options available.

Was told on a warm sunny day with clear skies and low winds 5 minutes before the booking there is a red weather warning. Multiple boats are still leaving the dock and we were being offered tours at the same time. Photo attached of what the day looked like.
Dear Gary, Thank you for your review. On March 30th, 2026, there was an official **red weather alert** in Como and on the lake due to strong winds reaching up to 80 km/h. In fact, for safety reasons, none of our boats went out that day, and all bookings including yours were cancelled and fully refunded. For us, customer safety is the absolute priority. We cannot and will not take the risk of allowing clients to go out driving a boat themselves in such dangerous weather conditions. For this reason, we are honestly surprised by your comment. The situation in Como city and on the lake was critical, and no boats were operating that day, including public ferry services. We are sorry that you felt disappointed, but describing this as a “scam” is not accurate, especially considering that you were fully refunded and the cancellation was made purely for safety reasons. Renting the boat was easy. Contacted 1 hour before booking easy to locate good at communicating. BE CAREFUL with the fine print. Addition costs are €25 per hour for fuel and port taxes. Renting the boat for over £200 didn’t make me think there was going to be anything left to pay. I was able to use blue light discount (NHS discount) so got a a little money off as booking from the uk. In the fine print NOT in an obvious place it says about the €25 additional charge. We have boats in the uk and for the 3 hour trip we took YOU WOULD NOT USE €25 of fuel at all. Let alone the additional €75 of fuel and port takes they charged. Which is on top of your booking to ‘only hire the boat’ cost. If the company maintained and cleaned their boats as to be expected with the ‘boat hire costs’ and absolutely with the additional ‘fuel and port charge cost’ they would definitely get a more reflective and economical fuel consumption. The hull of the boat and prop was covered with algae and water born growth. **Appalling maintenance** would be considered a frequent maintenance task especially in the down time Season (date of visit 1/2/26). Would also make their fuel consumption far more economical. Making the €75 additional charge even more unethical due to their disregard for the maintenance and respect of their boats. The hire company said that this was out of their hands and that it was on my ticket and on the website and that she had texted me. It is not on my ticket I have provided my ticket in photos and as I said it is only in the fine print. This is an outrageous cost that the boat company cared little about changing to provide a fair experience to their customers. The boat experience was great but the ethos of the company sucks. Just put the costs into the main page of your service not in the fine print. But also charge what is reflective of actual costs. Was called during the boat trip when we stopped to admire the lake to ask if everything was ok. Which is great but then reminded about being back in time as there was another booking after us. We were only 15 mins away from port and had another hour on our booking. Felt like we were being told off. Though we had been contacted early our actual booking time was till 1400-1700 but we were not allowed to be on there till then as they had got us on earlier so they shouldn’t have had a booking until after this time and this would not have been an issue. Never experienced such a big con.
Hello Erin, we are really sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, however several points in this review are incorrect. The fuel and port charges are clearly stated before booking, during booking and on the ticket, and they are standard operational costs that apply to all customers, not hidden fees. Your booking was from 14:00 to 17:00 and although you chose to depart earlier at 13:30, the full three hours of your rental were respected; as communicated, other customers were scheduled afterwards, so it was not possible to extend the return time. The call you received during the trip was purely for safety reasons, as you were navigating in less familiar areas of the lake with decreasing daylight, and was not intended as a reprimand. All our boats are cleaned and checked daily and receive regular professional maintenance, and as an official Suzuki Marine Point dealer we take the condition of our vessels very seriously, therefore the claims of poor maintenance are not accurate. Despite your point of view, we would still be truly happy to welcome you again in the future for another adventure with us and our beautiful boats. 🍀 Wishing you the best, Shusciu Nautical Division
