Exit from the port of San Felino in front of the Musée d'Orsay. The port is on the shore of the lake in front of Orsay! For those departing from Lake Villette, the port is quite far from the Metro station. Some guidebooks say Lake Villette is interesting, but Orgais is also a lot of fun
We booked this trip during a recent heat wave to enjoy time on the river and avoid the heat of the city. We were specifically looking for a trip that didn’t have a meal included and this one delivered. It was easy to find the check in location and the trip was very nice. Our guide was very thorough but lacked enthusiasm. The views along the Seine were terrific. The experience through locks and tunnel of the canal was fascinating, as well.
The location described on the ticket was not the meeting point. We waited from 2:30 PM to 3:10 PM at the location described on the ticket, just like many other people. No one answered the calls. When someone else who was also waiting there received a text message that the meeting point was at a different location, we were very disappointed. We did not receive any notification from the organizer. The boat had already departed, but they still let us all on board. However, there was no apology, just a remark that someone was at the meeting point and had picked up the guests. This could definitely be organized much better. Not again, a car is advantageous.
Fun and exciting journey through the eastern part of Paris. Perfect for kids. Just enough people.
A wonderful experience for all interested parties. Everything worked out perfectly for us: the boat, the tour, and the guide.
Very pleased we did this trip. Bit difficult to reach without a taxi. Pass through about five locks so that take-up some of the time. Can get very hot on top deck.Interesting areas experienced.
This was an immensely enjoyable afternoon cruise. For those looking for the Seine river cruise, this is not that. This is a cruise along the very small canal Saint Martin. You spend most of your time going down the locks of the canal. For me, this was so much fun and such a relaxed atmosphere. I loved seeing the small streets of Paris and parts of the city which I’ve never been. The boat had both an upstairs and a downstairs, with the upstairs open, and the downstairs closed, which worked well for us because it rained part of the time. The cruise also goes through the underground part of the canal, which is what I was most interested in seeing. The delight of the cruise was the guide who stood at the front of the boat with the microphone, telling engaging stories, in both English and French. It was so much better than those pre-recorded tapes that are in some of these tour type venues. And since we are in France, we purchased a glass of champagne from the small bar downstairs in the boat!
A beautiful cruise, with a lot of knowledge and anecdotes provided by Léa, a very pleasant and smiling guide.
Nice boattrip, Lots of information about de Locks en de buildings. Nice captain and hostes. Nice vieze on the Pint du Neuf
Thank you, Léa, very beautiful presentation
