Der Balboa Pier wurde 1906 als Schwesterprojekt des Balboa Pavilion errichtet. Die Newport Bay Investment Company wollte Grundstückskäufer auf eine unbebaute Sandzunge locken, die heute Balboa-Halbinsel genannt wird. Dafür bauten sie sowohl den Balboa Pavilion als auch den Balboa Pier.

If you've never been on Segway before, never fear. My wife doesn't know how to ride a bicycle. She learned how to ride the Segway in about 5 minutes safely in a blocked off parking lot. Mike, our guide was great. He took us down safe alleys and we only did the pedestrian walkways that weren't packed with people. He also pointed out where some famous folks live or used to live. Then he acted as our photographer taking memorable stills and videos. There's a huge playground where we could freestyle, too! Immediately after, my wife said she wanted to experience Segway again elsewhere.
I took my sister,and niece on the stay tour it was so much fun!Mike was our tour guide he was amazing tour guide!I will definitely be back Attttt

Very prompt, the guide had lots of insight to the area. You will travel a lot further than you would think. The ride down the beach has amazing views and sights. We did the morning tour and the boardwalk was not busy and very easy to navigate.
What an incredible day celebrating the birthday of one of my closest friends. The weather was perfect. Our guide, Mike was extremely knowledgeable of the area and patient with us as we navigated our way around Balboa. He is also an excellent photographer and took many memorable pictures for us to share with family and friends. I would highly recommend this tour!!

Wonderful Segway tour! Helpful and knowledgeable staff, terrific guide in Mike. Definitely more of a scenic tour than historic or touristy, but enjoyable for sure! Won’t hesitate to return on a future visit to Newport Beach!

What a joke. This place is atrocious!! We booked well in advance for a 2 hour Segway tour. We showed up 10 minutes before our 9am appointment. There was a guy leaf blowing and chasing up bikes. There was no record of out reservation, he said “ohh TripAdvisor we don’t use that app” so he called someone who was obviously still sleeping and they could not figure out what to do. They could not refund my money… because no app… so o called TripAdvisor, here I sit waiting SEVEN DAYS for a $360 refund. Do not give this place your money at!!! What a joke.
We participated in the 90 min Segway tour of Newport Beach. The experience was awesome. Our tour guide Mike was exceptional. He took the time to show us the ins and outs of the area, took our picture and exceeded our expectations! The Segway tour is absolutely worth it!
