We had a fabulous time eating our way across Seoul. It was well curated, allowing us to taste a big variety of traditional Korean dishes. Youla was a wonderful guide, so friendly and knowledgeable. I just might take this tour again tomorrow 😁. ( just kidding)

Very cute and I learned lots even as an experienced cook! Absolutely delicious food and makgeolli. Would recommend it in a heartbeat
We appreciate this review, thank you! It’s great that the experience felt engaging from your perspective. We’d love to have you back with Secret Food Tours.
YL was very effective in sharing things she knows about Korea: food, culture, history and even her observation on present Korea (gen x-y-z)! What makes the experience of a street food tour even better is that she really likes and eats the stuff she offered us to try - it is very encouraging for a visitor to see people who actually champion their local bold eats. For the travelers, I know it may seem crazy, but dont skip on any of the street food!
We’re thankful you shared this with us! It’s always nice to hear the experience felt enjoyable from your perspective. Secret Food Tours would be glad to host you again.
Kimchi based, simple recipes with ingredients you can easily find at home. Suyeon is a great host, we had a wonderful time and the small group format makes it more fun. The makgeolli pairing is a nice touch. We really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it.

The cooking class with Suyeon was such a delight. I was the only person there that day, so I had the good fortune to chat with her for a nice amount of time about our love of food, wine, travel, etc. To be welcomed into someone’s home while visiting a new country is priceless. The food was amazing too, especially considering how uncomplicated the dishes are to make. She thoughtfully provided the recipes, and I can’t wait to recreate them back in my own kitchen. The entire experience was relaxing, informative, and well-planned. I would give it 10 stars if I could, and highly recommend it for novice cooks as well as those more experienced.

My sister and I did the Kimchi cooking class with Suyeon and it was amazing! It was our first cooking class experience so we didn’t know what to expect. Suyeon was great to talk with and we easily conversed for the 2 hour class while she taught us all about Kimchi and helped us learn a thing or two about cooking!

We prepared 3 different dishes that included kimchi as an ingredient. Suyeon our host was great! She explained the history/tradition of kimchi. Explained how it is made and how many different types of kimchi there are. Then the prepping and cooking began! All three dishes were delicious and fairly simple to make. Basic ingredients (with kimchi of course!) that you can put together at home quickly. Thank you very much Suyeon!

The cooking class was amazing! We were a little late but Suyeon was very nice about this since we were the only group. We did the cooking class with a friends group of 7. We are all excited about cooking. Even though the dishes were easy we still learned a lot of new things and it was a lot of fun! Also the link with the cultural background was nice to learn about. Highly recommend going on this class!

My friend and I are from the United States, and love Korean food. We enjoyed learning about the significance in Korean culture and how kimchi usage and production has shifted since the invention of the kimchi fridge! This class was informative, fun, and delicious :)

I had a great experience doing the Secret Food Tours Cooking Class in Seoul with Suyeon. She was lovely to speak with and it ended up just being me and her 1:1 as the other customer had to cancel. We had great conversation and I learned a lot about the food culture in Korea, history of Kimchi and we talked about current events as well. I would highly recommend if you want an intimate setting and to eat delicious food in a home in Seoul.
