Der schwimmende Markt von Damnoen Saduak ist einer der attraktivsten schwimmenden Märkte in Thailand. Motorbootfahrten sind bereits in Ihrer Tour inbegriffen! Viele thailändische und ausländische Touristen kommen hierher, um die Atmosphäre der thailändischen Wassermärkte zu genießen, die seit über 100 Jahren bestehen. Auf diesem schwimmenden Markt können Sie eine Reihe köstlicher thailändischer Früchte und Lebensmittel probieren, wie süße Mango auf Klebreis, frisch zubereitetes Kokoseis und thailändische Bootsnudeln.
Der Eisenbahnmarkt wird scherzhaft als „lebensgefährlicher“ Markt bezeichnet! Sie werden Spaß daran haben, mit einem Nahverkehrszug zum Bahnhof Mae Klong zu fahren. Während Sie in diesem Zug sind, werden Sie das „Ungesehene Thailand“ erleben. Wenn das Zugsignal ertönt, bricht das Chaos aus! Die Händler werden in aller Eile ihre Stände abbauen und alle Waren wegräumen, die den fahrenden Zug behindern. Sobald der Zug vorbei ist, werden alle Ladenbesitzer ihre Stände wieder aufbauen.
Besuchen Sie eine Kokosnusszuckerfarm in der Nähe des schwimmenden Marktes Damnoen Saduak. In dieser Fabrik erfahren Sie, wie thailändische Bauern Kokosnussnektar herstellen. Sie sehen eine Vorführung, wie Kokosnussblüten geschnitten werden, der Nektar in einen Bambusbehälter gegossen wird, Konservierungshölzer in den Behälter gelegt werden und der Nektar aufgekocht und pasteurisiert wird, bis er trinkbar ist. Das wird Ihnen die Augen öffnen!
Das weißliche Salzfeld, natürlich kein Reisfeld. Eine besondere Bonustour für unsere Gäste, die 2020 an unserer schwimmenden und Eisenbahnmarkttour teilnehmen. Dieses Meersalz wird nach thailändischer Tradition hergestellt. Der Salzbauer lässt das Meerwasser je nach Wind- und Sonneneinstrahlung auf verschiedenen Ebenen rotieren. Die Rotation wird fortgesetzt, bis das Salz zu einem „Salzberg“ wird, der zum Kochen, für die Hautpflege und für die Landwirtschaft bereit ist. Auf dem Highway 35 in der Provinz Samut Sakhorn führt Sie unser Guide, reibt das Salz in Ihre Hand und macht fantastische Fotos!
Der Erawan-Wasserfall gilt als einer der schönsten Wasserfälle Thailands. Die Hauptattraktion des Parks sind die siebenstufigen Erawan-Wasserfälle mit ihren smaragdgrünen Teichen. Erawan hat sieben separate Stufen, die sich über etwa 1.500 Meter durch den dichten Regenwald des Parks erstrecken. Der Park ist nach „Erawan“ benannt, dem dreiköpfigen weißen Elefanten aus der hinduistischen Mythologie. Die oberste Stufe der Wasserfälle soll einem Elefantenkopf ähneln. Der Eintrittspreis für Ausländer ist in Ihrer Tour enthalten.
Dank mehrerer Filme und Bücher ist die Brücke über den Kwai berühmt geworden und hat sowohl Thailänder als auch Ausländer an diesen Ort gelockt. Wenn eine gewöhnliche schwarze Eisenbrücke eine Geschichte erzählen kann, dann ist sie mit Sicherheit eine dramatische. Die Brücke hat Stahlplatten über den Schwellen, damit man sie bequem überqueren kann. Zwischen den Böcken gibt es auch Aussichtsplattformen, die Ihnen einen Blick auf den Fluss bieten und Ihnen einen Platz zum Ausweichen bieten, wenn Sie sich auf der Brücke befinden, wenn ein Zug kommt. Sie werden ein köstliches Mittagessen in einem Floßrestaurant in der Nähe der Brücke über den Kwai genießen.

We wanted to combine the floating market with the Erawan waterfalls in one day away from Bangkok, that’s why we took this tour. It’s a lot of driving since the markets and Erawan are not close together. But we knew that. First of all, we were lucky that we were the only two guest for the tour yesterday. We were picked up at our hotel on time in a very comfy car. Our guide Jim was very nice and attentive, our driver kind and a good driver. First we took the train to the train market, browsed a bit and watched the train leave 30 minutes later. Jim made sure to get us good spots every time. Then we drove to the floating market, took a boat and explored the market on boat and land. We had lunch there as well. Both markets are a tourist thing – you probably know that already since you’re reading a Viator review. It’s full and overwhelming. It also makes for nice photos. Then (after a quick stop at a coconut farm) we drove the three hours to the Erawan National Park and, wow, that’s a beautiful place. We even saw monkeys in the trees. We only made it to the fourth fall and cut our visit short after that, but that was our own decision. Unfortunately, my mom slipped on the rocks and twisted her knee in the process. That’s why we decided to skip the last stop (the bridge) and head straight back to Bangkok. Jim and our driver tool good care of us and were worried a lot. So, all in all, if you want to see the two big markets and an amazing National Park combined in one tour, do it. It is quite an expensive tour, but five-star-tours combining these destinations are rare. Also, Jim paid for our lunch and bought some snacks for us throughout the day. We were provided with enough water as well.

This was a really good trip if you want to see lots of things outside Bangkok in a short period of time. Our guide Adam and driver Lock were knowledgeable and fun. Nothing was too hard for them. The trip was long - around 13 hours - but it was expected. The Erawan Falls were .magnificent. We went to the 4th level but time prevented us from going further. All in all we had a great day and would recommend this trip. And with any luck you will get Adam and Lock to make the day complete.

Great day with our guide Adam. It was everything you need to have seen outside Bangkok. We had theextendrd tour and were also allowed to experience the Wonderful Waterfalls. The long drive and the tedious looks up (if you want to go all the way up) were worth it. Afterwards some history at the River Keai Bridge until we return.
