Schist Dörfer von Lousã, ganztägig ab Coimbra

Reise in die ländliche Welt, natürliche Landschaft mit Verkostung lokaler Produkte. Wir reisten durch die Serra da Lousã, ganz in der Nähe von und um Coimbra, auf der Suche nach alten Bräuchen, ländlichen Routinen, genossen wir die lokale Gastronomie, bewunderten wir die Bergdörfer Cerdeira, Candal, Talasnal und Casal Novo mit Schieferstein gebaut. Wir gehen bis zum Äußersten, besuchen die Burg Arouce und den Naturstrand Na Sra Piedade am Fuße des Berges und steigen auf den höchsten Punkt von Trevim, um auf der beliebten Schaukel Lousã zu balancieren. Das Mittagessen wird in einem typischen Restaurant mit lokaler Küche serviert, Chanfana (Ziegenfleisch, das langsam im Holzofen gegart wird). Es gibt andere Optionen, wenn Sie dieses typische Gericht nicht mögen. Zum Ausklang des Tages ist in der Käsehauptstadt Rabaçal noch Platz für eine Verkostung von Schaf- und Ziegenkäse, Olivenöl, Brot und Wein. Nach Besichtigungen und Verkostungen kehren wir zum Ausgangspunkt zurück.

Fantastic experience. Beautiful scenery and waterfalls. Our guide was amazing. He knew all the best restaurants and local food places. Very knowledgeable. Customized our tour on the fly just for us. One of my best tour guides I have ever had.

A wonderful, if exhausting, day exploring caves, visiting a wonderful independent winery, and seeing the beautifully restored, medieval limestone and schist villages near Sicó and Lousã. Lots of walking, including some steep uphill steps, but VERY MUCH worth the effort.
